According to a quick look at the wiring diagram, the "control relay for key operation" (relay e), supplies power to fuses 5,6, and 7. It is not part of the starter circuit.

I had/have the same click no start issue. I took the starter solenoid appart and found one of the contacts was cocked slightly causing only a point contact. I loosened it and shoved a washer under it to keep it flat and then re-torqued it. It of course did not fix the click but I slept better knowing the starter and brushes were healthy. I checked the solenoind wire conection on the left rear frame for corrosion and found none. It started when I measured voltage behind the ignition switch but I'm liking the idea of the added relay.

Thanks for all your help fellows..:)

I finally had some time today to play with my mistress so after checking the battery twice the ignition switch and some of the relays I decided to do what was suggested and override the switch and go straight to the starter. As I was checking the connections by the starter the main positive lead seemed a Little loose not much mind you so I tightened it a bit tried it still nothing but it sounded different than before so I knew I was on to some thing I disconnected the lead cleaned the connections re tightened and voilà she fired up like a champ WOO HOO....:)

    Problem solved.

Let me tell ya there is nothing like hearing that motor fire up I was on a high all day long.
