Wow, to have been alive and a Ferrari owner during that time....The sad thing is that now most of those cars probably sit in the climate-controlled garages of their wealthy owners only being driven a couple of times a year.

GS had both a 917 and an Abarth at Moroso one day at a Brian Redman day I think and I asked him if he ever got confused about his braking points switching from one to another: he made sort of a funny face and said yes you have to pay attention!

The 212 shown with the license plate "60FH" is 069S, owned at the time by the late Fred Herdeen of New York. A real gentleman

0346M underwent a total restoration at David Cottingham's in 2004. There are complete pics from as found with tree in it in the 1970s by GS to all stages of the restoration 30 years later. Here's the link http://www.dkeng.co.uk/frames.php . If it doesn't work, just google DK Engineering (the Ferrari specialists, not the mechanical engineers).

    Cheers,
    Dave

    Hi Cliff,

Very cool photos. Can you provide dates/locations for them? My guess is 1960s. We've got a 500 Mondial, 212 Inter, Chinetti's 246F1 s/n 0003 (photo I think from the 1977 FCA Annual Meet), 410 Sport, 375MM. If I were to guess, I would say the 410 Sport is s/n 0596CM and the 375MM is s/n 0370AM when owned by Carl Bross. The yellow/black 212 Inter Vignale is 0197EL, also owned by Bross.
