Gentlemen, just to share with you what my friend's dad used to worked on

The one & only Lamborghini Miura S that was ever in Singapore. It was crashed somewhere in Malaysia but they did save the chassis & exported decades ago so it could be somewhere out there now. These pics were taken when both cars just arrived.

The Miura was rumoured to be used a a test car to check on the then Kallang airport runway, probably the only place to do a flat-out run in those days.

No car represents the pinnacle of its marque like a prototype and this Miura P400 SV, Chassis No. 4758, is one of Lamborghini’s most significant creations. The SV prototype was hand-built as part of a factory project to develop the last and ultimate variation of the Miura. Originally finished in the same colors it bears today – Fly Yellow over black interior – this car is believed to have been shown at the 1971 Geneva Auto Show and spent many years in Europe before being imported to the U.S. After an exacting restoration at the hands of Wayne Obry and Jeff Stephan, it debuted to the sophisticates at Pebble Beach as the second-ever Miura SV to participate in the Concours, hand-selected by invitation, and later won an award in the featured Lamborghini class. Considered by experts as one of the most significant and well-restored Miuras in existence, this exciting sports car is a special Amelia Island Auction highlight. Its estimate is available on request.

The Amelia Island Auction will be held on Friday, March 11, 2011, commencing at 3 p.m. Guests may preview the cars on Thursday, March 10, from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Friday, March 11, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., at the Racquet Park located at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation at 6800 First Coast Highway in Amelia Island, one mile south of the Amelia Island Parkway. Complimentary shuttles running from the Racquet Park auction site to other areas of interest will be available for guests’ convenience. Miura Arancio, in the metallic version, cannot be found locally by the PPG store.
Would someone have the color number? I believe it was also called Ishrar.

Alberto. Try calling bill young at GTCP. He did at one time have all the color charts and a lot of cans of original PPG Lacquer paint there for lamborghini. Jeff Stephan

 

We're in the process of selecting materials for the interior of our Miura. We'd like to do dark blue leather, but I'm wondering how many different blues were originally offered, and what they look like. Joe, is the interior of 4884 the darkest (only?) blue that was offered originally? Not averse to selecting something non-original should the original colors prove to be not to our taste.

No there was a dark blue, almost black that was used. We matched 4884's leather to the original, but I must say it came up a little brighter as often happens.

Fast forward 35 years and the interior was re-done like this.. cloth seat centers were retained.

Where did you have this done?

 

The shop that's restoring the car (GP Enterprises) is doing all the setup/tuning etc. The actual dyno is at Buddenbaum Fabrication in San Carlos, CA.

 

This is an epic restoration effort! You've got good guys doing the work.

 

Red with a blue interior. Stunning result.

 

In that period, such a combination wasn't unusual.

 

How did you couple it to the dyno?
