    He says "maybe its because I'm black" with a straight face, then quickly adds a chuckle at the end (as he realises how that's going to sound) then goes on to the Ali G comment. It's all open to interpretation I know, but my interpretation fits with the behaviour he's exhibited since he arrived in F1.

    my interpretation as well, but then I hate him and McLaren ....... but why do I like Button ?? :confused:

    Button freely admitted that when he won the WDC it was the car (which we all know is true) but Hamilton thinks of it as a right of passage due to his great skill :rolleyes:

    The truth is ALL the F1 pilots are greatly skilled, you don't get handed one of the fastest machines on earth if you don't

    Im with you mate, I reckon it was meant as a joke. He was VERY quick to say it was an Ali-G thing.

    I reckon he planned to say that well before the media interviewed him.

    Saying it with a straight face, then adding a quick chuckle and goes onto the Ali-G comment as IanB suggests because "he realises how that's going to sound" is a bit far fetched. I dont think he is THAT quick witted. :):)

    Did he say it, did not get a giggle/reaction from the interviewer ...........so a milli second later he chuckles himself and says it's an Ali-G thing? I doubt it, was a joke from the start if you ask me. :):)

    He probably didnt get the reaction he wanted from the media. I think I would have chuckled with him as I hear "it's because im black" here all the time. :D:D

    But yes, we can all interpret anyway we like. :):)
