Luggage Set

I just got an estimated quote to re-skin two carry-on luggage pieces and a 10" square,(which fills the 575 trunk) for about $900, using the good "German leather". Have to bring in the pieces for a final cost. I wouldn't want to scuff my back shelf with hauling luggage in and out anyway, so three pieces is enough.
But there is nothing like the origional for those that must and can have it....

I had an old friend (RIP) who's son was a Schedoni distributor and he told me that dealer cost on the full set was $1200.

Am I right in assuming this luggage would only be suitable for a car with Beige interior??

 

Usually see them in beige or black.
One of those two colors is normally compatible with the various interior color choices in the cars.

 

The leather color you are referring to is beige, often referred to as tan, and not available on the 575M. Cuoio is a darker, saddle leather. See the interior thread for descriptions and colors.

As far as I know, 575M luggage was available in black and gray, cuoio and gray, and red and gray only. Did not seem to go over too well.

According to option lists I have for 02/03/04/05 575Ms, there was a 4 piece Luggage Set and a 2 piece Interior Suit Carrier Set available. If you ordered both, there were 6 pieces. Plus the option of a golf bag in any interior color.

Does anybody have a url for the set? I could not find it.

The wildest color I've seen for Ferrari luggage is a set of 550 Barchetta luggage done in yellow & cuoio.
I saw this yellow Barchetta at the FCA Annual Meet in NJ last year.

I am pretty sure this is the same guy who had 17" wheels he claimed came off a 550 and other really uneducated claims. That is not a 575M set of luggage and probably came from another Ferrari. 10:1 says he never owned a 575, either.

I'm thinking it is a set of 550 luggage. A set of 6 tan pieces.

His eBay ad says it works for a 575/456/550/612 but it is not the right set for a 575, 456, or 612.

Here is a picture of the 6-piece tan luggage from the eBay ad and another picture of a creme/white set of 550 luggage.
Looks like the same design to me.

BTW, the lighting on the tan set is terrible in the eBay ad.
In one of his close up pics, you can see it is the typical cuoio/tan/beige color of other Schedoni luggage sets.

I went hunting for luggage for my 550 starting a couple of years ago.
I ended up with a set of black Barchetta luggage, which works great for weekend trips in the car.

The name "Schedoni" isn't a common brand that people typically know in the U.S.
But once you buy some of their products, you realize how pricey they are.
Schedoni is the Italian leather company that makes the leather tool kits and document holders in every Ferrari.

There was a funny fake thread back in Feb 2009 based on "Schedoni's" being rare animals that we harvest for their hides.

After four luggage shops and hours on the internet with no satisfaction: I took some current luggage I had, bought some leather, negotiated with luggage repair shop to "reskin" the outside and add new nylon inside. Less then $1,400. There is something satisfying about managing a project yourself....
