The reason we're doing this in Modena with our friends is that the people who know how this was done and can restore her to the way she was using the correct methods and techniques aren't getting any younger and one day it will be very hard to to this.

He asks if you do the weldings with modern technique or as they do them in the 40s...

What a thrill. These pictures tell the story better than any words can. Do you have pictures of the bare chassis and did you weigh it? Thanks so much. just one man's opinion tongascrew

I was there two weeks ago and saw your car Jim. I was confused because I didn't know you had it done in Modena so imagine my surprise when I saw the s/n! :)

I alway love to visit shops like these. I remember the time they had the Ferrari boat engine on a test stand when they fired it up, without any silencers to speak of! That was great :)

I wish you all the best with this project.

    Best, Peter

Is the wiring harness/tubing period correct or is that one area where modern techology wiring is better to use?

That will be a blast to drive when finished. The smell of oil/gas, the wind, the "mechanicals" working and operating, being at speed...

    The life. :)

I talked to Sal in the pits early in the morning during the race and he told me that she still needs some time. If I remember correct he said something about September (but we had some beers before and afterwards so I'm to too sure anymore :D)
