I wonder was concrete poured directly onto the 330 America in Texas or just on top of the bunker?

Even better question - say you could dig it up, would you drive it knowing there's been a dead body in it for almost 60 years?

I don't recall anything about the poured concrete...just that the car and occupant were enclosed in a concrete bunker.

As I recall from that story, car & body were placed in the concrete "box" bunker, the
concrete lid placed on top, then concrete poured up to grade to keep grave
    robbers at bay.

I also seem to recall that the actual car got switched with a lesser value car right
    before the burial....

The 330 America was the lesser value car.

That's right... the original was to be a 250. Thanks for the reminder.

Good choice of car! I can't imagine that being done in a Kia...

I believe the original was to be a Daytona Spyder... at least, according to her relative who posted on here. The 330 had been wrecked previous to her death. However, I think her will was a little vague on exactly which Ferrari was to be used.

Surely somebody knows where the car is? What an incredible story!

I do remember reading that the car was in somewhat shabby condition.

In those days, a production 250 GTE fetched a higher price than an America?

I'd guess there wasn't a whole lot of difference then. However, there was a big difference between a wrecked 330 America and a good Daytona Spyder!
