    Wow.

After reading all through this (ran out of popcorn twice!), I have taken the liberty of rewriting the ad as the seller apparently thinks it should be:

"1992 348 for sale. Contact me for details if interested".

Done. See, that wasn't so hard.

    Your welcome.

    Regards,
    Jerry

P.S. The noise I make in the shower is just fine thank you very much.......................

He tried that with this original for sale thread. When someone interested contacted him for details he was open and honest and disclosed the history and Salvage title. The interested party then came to his thread and started wining that he had his time wasted by the OP for not disclosing the salvage title in the original post. So I believe the OP reposted disclosing the Salvage title to try to make everyone happy. That thread is here somewhere unless he just got the title on this one changed. And you see how that has turned out with this one 180+ posts later.

Nope... you just have to come to grips that you were going to get the shaft as the thread starts to head in that direction again.

Am I the only reader here who completely doubts the golf ball or club damage story being floated by the OP? Copterjon gave a more reasonable story earlier. As a staunch supporter of the 348 and someone who knows or runs into people looking for one, I consider myself a buyer in proxy. As it stands I would not refer anyone I know to this seller or his car. Who could given the story line of this thread?

On the other hand the OP sounds like a real character with whom I'd probably enjoy a drink.

Only copterjon would know for sure but this very similar car has been floating around for a while. Same wheels, same past title issue...could have mixed up the two cars, but again only he and his buyer friend would know.

Just a quick compare of those two salvage titled 348's with the same wheels... Zoowoo's has painted sills and a different front spoiler. That said, pretty close...

Its hard to believe this thread still lives.
Tom gave everyone the most important info on his first posting-The price and that the car has been serviced for years by Any Falbo in Phoenix.
Tom's an owner, not an expert- I've talked to him about his car- if you have questions call the expert- Andy Falbo(480) 836-7915 who knows this car inside out.
It's $30K -thats basically the parted out cost in salvage right now(I checked with multiple salvage wholesalers)

When I saw the car if this is in fact the same car I remember Speakers mounted behind the seats. The wheels and painted calipers as stated in my earlier post were not on the car.
Again, this may not be the car. I've only seen this thing once in it's current configuration ie wheels and yellow brakes. I was walking past it and didn't bother to look closely as I had no reason to scrutinize or pay any attention. I didn't even think that it could have been the car I had checked out with my friend. Nothing about it made me say WTF? I don't care for the wheels being painted red but that's my opinion and painting them silver or gray wouldn't take much to do.
For 30K or a bit less someone could be getting a dream car they might not be able to by if the title wasn't branded as salvage.
Also, you're buying a car not marrying the seller. If its the car you want who gives a shizzle about the sellers personality. Buy it, move on and enjoy the dream

So if it's not the same car, you're saying it could be a bogie?

No kidding. Up to this post (I am reading thru the pages) - I feel that NO clear answers have been given! Only speculation as to HOW cars can get salvage titles.
As a matter of fact, someone asked him - "So, was the theft recovery how this 348 was totaled out?" No response....
Next, someone said "Was it YOUR car when it was totaled out, or did you buy it already with the salvage/rebuilt title?" No answer was given here either... :)

Haha Joshtownsend defends the OP, then the OP turns around and bashes his Blue 348 because it's Blue Haha!! :)

P.S.... What is up with OP saying he never conversed, and doesn't know, the MN guy (Scott) who offered him 28k previously - BEFORE the car was for sale - and knew the OP had 15 Corvettes at a time... Yet OP doesn't know him (claims.) That is odd in itself, very odd in fact!

    This !!!

OP, why not just state the facts, and get on with it.
I'm sure the car WILL SELL - but not with this mystery, negativity, and "grey area"!!

    HAHAHA.
I think that's how the OP intends the "buying/selling" process to work, mate.... Odd indeed

My final comment is this. The listing for sale got off to a rocky start. The car could be a great opportunity for someone. Check it out and see for yourself. Study what records you can and if a salvage car - for whatever reason - doesn't bother you, then go for it. Any questions you have on 348s come to the section and we'll help out. I will keep my opinions to myself and not kick dirt on the OP's thread. Other than I wouldn't buy stock in the golf ball story. ;)
