Depends on how bad they are cracked, you might hear a rattle or other noises but I think the best way is to have your mechanic do a smoke test.

in addition to rattle can be exhaust leak or smell of exhaust in the engine compartment.

if they are cracked there will be a considerable change in the exhaust note

Can also manifest as a ticking sound during cold engine start. The noise can disappear once the exhaust heats up though.

Could be the exhaust bracket. I have broken 2 of them before switching to Capristo. Mine was broken on the left side of the muffler. I could see the crack from above.
I would only hear the rattle at low RPMs because the engine noise at high RPMs is louder.
When my header was cracked I could not hear anything. Dealer did a smoke test while in for a service and found the crack.

Same here. I hear light rattle from the rear drivers side. No ticking noise but a rattle that goes away after engine is warm. I think it's a bracket.

I have the Capristo bracket. Not cheap at $700 for a bracket but gotta admit it's a slick little design.

Was wondering at what mileage was on the clock when those who have had header failure occurred. The car I am considering is an 05 with 3,700 miles.

Does anyone have a picture of the bracket location? Just installed a new system replacing another aftermarket one so there was no reference.

How many miles are on the car? Have you noticed any burn marks on the heat shields?

Rattling coming from the engine compartment in general, or you have zero'd in on the headers specifically?

My headers failed at 12000 miles and I've had two exhaust brackets replaced in 26000 miles.

Mine were replaced about 3 months ago under warranty. Can anyone tell me how long the new ones are warranted for? I can't seem to get an answer.

    Mike,
I think the originals are warrantied for 8 years from date of manufacture. I'm not sure the replacements are warrantied for more than a year though. Anyone else know?
