These are gorgeous cars and will be collectible some day. not many made. I remember some thought the design was a bit feminine at the time, which was probably due to it being small. I never thought so. Car looks agressive and classic at the same time. Great interior design as well with the cluster above the shifter. Love it Funny thing too, my friends and I have all noted that you really don't see many z3's on the road anymore. Which is kind of strange. They made more than enough, and they aren't that old yet. I'm always surprised when I see one.
c'mon dude, you know you want to . . . it's not a lot of money, and it's a ton of car!! I'll even toss in some spare parts and a full tank of gas. D
Going to check out this Z3 tomorrow....2001 BMW Z3 3.0i, For Sale - | BestRide.com . Love the color and the mileage but hate the faux "wood trim".
Took this one the other day. Got lucky with the wall art placement, I didn't notice it when I parked, only when I was about to leave... "King of the road." Well at least of one small road in São Paulo during lunchtime... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Unicorn car, how about an E32 factory manual shift? Was also one of the Racing Dynamics conversion cars back in the day.. just finishing the mechanical restoration with only the exhaust left to do. I unloaded all of my BMWs over the last two years but kept this one in particular... the unloved step-child!
Just thought I'd chime in with this. One of my favorite e36 shots Estoril, there is no alternative Image Unavailable, Please Login
I will see what I can find to post. She is not much to look at.. at this point. Engine re-build just completed. She fired right-up.. it runs drives w/open headers. Next up is exhaust re-make... as the car has the factory SS Racing Dynamics headers. The RD exhaust from the down pipes back was stolen while the car was sitting during the engine rebuild. The sad part is that these parts are NLA. The guys who stole the exhaust had no clue what it was as they were taking it as scrap metal based on its content and weight! We actually were able to see the guys on tape from the security camera.. and they were scrappers, climbing the back fence and stealing stacks of used and rusty brake rotors and whatever else that had solid metal content etc.. Wheels have been refinished and waiting.. so its exhaust next then off to the body shop (body is fine w/minor dings and sun washed finish) for paint, and then reinstall seats and new headliner. A few odd-ball pics.. note the little parts hauler. I doubt anyone here would complain, I know I won't, if you get around to posting some individual "team" pics. I am feeling really happy and satisfied from just getting new tires on my 93K '04 Alpine White 525i last weekend, the improved ride quality, and having the oil and filter changed last weekend, I went with a Mann filter and Mobil-1 5w-30 full synthetic were paramount. I was thinking about a Z3-Z4 but do not have the heart to give up the 5'r for another manual and loose all the extra room. After I pay her off I may look into a turbo setup for a "sleeper", too many idea's and not enough funds....typical car guy burden.
Post #1019 thru #1021...."Oh you just had to go there didn't you?" If I had to choose my three favorite all time BMW's they would be the E30 M3, the E28 and E34 M5 and the M1. Well done sir.
A few photos of my M3 CSL and M1, have had the M1 since 2005 and the M3 for a year. M1 underwent a 3 year restoration, the CSL is untouched except for fixing rock chips on the front. Both cars have approx 38k km's on the clock. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
