That's a lot of mold! However, it's not uncommon in high humidity areas in a car that is closed up. I had that happen in both a Porsche 914 and a TR6. It never got that far before I caught it; however, once it gets established it spreads quickly

For sure, but the ad says "CAR IS NOT RUNNING has been sitting in climate controlled garage for last 2 years." There wouldn't be any mold based on those storage conditions.

Due diligence required more than ever for this car.

Look at that item between the throttle body and the intake plenum, is that a custom made liquid-to-air intercooler?

Triple black is interesting, but i'm spending a lot more time in the Phoenix area lately. A bit warm for that combo.

A turbo on a 69k mile engine, I would think that engine is getting tired.

Hi everyone, i am looking for a Mondial to restore it for not more than 15,000 $. Do you guys think that even this is possible ? I only find one in Germany, where i also lived, for 13,500 Euros (Ferrari Mondial F108AL/Q Blau-Creme als Sportwagen/Coupé in Frechen - Köln)
but IMO he's asking way too much for it, since it doesnt even have no engine, no gearbox and also the accident on the front. i would pay maximum 8,000 Euros for it. What do you guys think of this offer ?

    thanks

I saw that. One very nice mid 20k mile one was $195k. I thought it was a typo, but above the price started out at $199k. I know it is just asking price, but wow. 3/4 of a Mondial for 4-5x the asking price. I understand different strokes for difference folks, but I just don't get it............

    Regards,
    Jerry

At the 14 June Osenat classic auto action in Fontainebleu France, there were 3 Ferraris sold amongst 85 classic cars up for sale. A 1988 Testarossa Berlinetta with 12,000 kilometers on it went for 133,000 euros; an 88 348 Berlinetta for 42,000 euros and an 86 Mondial 3.2 cab for 39,000 Euros. All were considered in above average original condition.

Of course cabs always sell higher, but here is an example of actual sales prices becoming more equal. This does not match the 100,000 Euro listing levels mentioned above but it is actual selling prices showing the mondi's approaching parity with other fcars.

Rick, a quick search on mobile.de shows that they are at a different asking price than what you have in mind.
As for the particular example, you can certainly offer him whatever you have in mind, I do not see how I could be of any valuable advice other than that it looks to have been partly salvaged and still has many interesting parts left. As a starting point maybe look up that the door panels usually are around 400ish, all the lights, fusebox, electrical gadgets may still be on board as a complete interior in crema, so the total (given you have all the time in the world) may be even more than his asking.
I suggest you start looking at complete cars, very likely more rewarding and cheaper in total. If your budget does not allow for more than your number, even if you do all the work yourself and have access to a fully equipped workplace is posing a problem, as you will at least have to pay for parts along the way,

    cheers

    braq

@braq Yeah maybe you're right.. I do have my own workshop, so this wouldnt be a problem at all.. But i found this black one Ferrari Mondial d'occasion, Essence, ? 21*293,- à Bilbao in Spain for actually a really good price i think, almost a bargain IMO. the only thing i dont like is this white stripe on the body.
