Poor choice to buy a Jalpa project, for a nice sum.

How much will it cost to fix the Jalpa ?

Can you envision the rock trick at the deep end of the pool.

David's car was the better buy ;).

  6. Plus 5% bidder premium, or about 72k. I think one of there comments said it was off to the Netherlands. It does need a restoration, but did have the spare, tool kit, manual & leather cover, which is probably worth 5k or more.

BTW, I think that 68k is an ok deal for the buyer and seller. He can still use it as soon as he gets it. Right colors and right wheels. Cool looking car. Restore while driving it.

Interesting reading the "comments" on BaT during this Jalpa's sale......very very 'favorable' regarding this car, the model & Lambo's in general. Many noticed the wheels too..

The best part is reading all the comments about how this must be the nicest Jalpa out right now. I thought it was in pretty poor shape so for them to think that was good, will translate into mine being amazing if I ever decide to sell it.

  12. I refrained from commenting...I thought he same thing. It does look nice at a glance, and I think the price was good for the seller/buyer. Your Jalpa is going to be incredible. The engine work is spectacular.

    A couple Jalpa threads.

My name is also Derek, I also have a white Jalpa :p Yeah, our cars get mixed up all the time. I often joke that he's like my long lost Jalpa brother with a working Jalpa, without the wing :p

  15. Doh! What's the odds of that?

Pretty slim! Right? Hahahaha. It's funny because every time i post a picture of my restoration in progress on facebook he has told me it's confusing and he thinks someone posted an early picture of his car.

    "EVERY TIME!"

    Cracks me up.

On a positive note (and not to derail), dyno day should be before the end of this month.

Anyone have recent prices for 2011-2013 Gallardo Coupes or convertibles? A local dealer in Houston told me some ridiculously low numbers that I find hard to believe. Said the Huracan market has made the G car plummet bad.

This Islero has been for sale at RPM, in Vermont, for a long time.
(Those are RPM's buildings in the background.)
    Looks like a decent specimen.

There's another Islero at RM's Auction the same time, which is perhaps not in quite as good mechanical shape and with some interior issues:

  21. Like how bad? Manheim auction data would be the best indicator.

90k-105k for 2011-2013 Coupes, said some 2006-2008 cars are in the 65k-80k range. This guy is wanting me to help him out opening another lot so don't know if he legit or just another used car salesman crook. Claims he bought his RR Phantom for $57k.
