...and IMO, the most beautiful and proportionally balanced design produced in Maranello.

Childish, I know, but a life long dream for perfect combo: DC-3 & SWB
Both feature very similar, beautifully balanced design and would complement each other perfectly.
Almost bought one (DC-3) close to 30 years ago.

Sorry, Christian, but my files are now with Marcel. It was in terrible shape; among other things the carb butterflies were so corroded from salt air that I could only get two to open by pounding on them with a large hammer and screw-driver, so I drove it home from L.A. harbor on 8 cylinders. 1960's I think.

But the top ( grey one) has neither period tires nor correct dimension. Very rare to find correct size of tire and wheels on SWB. Everyone wants larger flatter tire as they look more modern! On mine, when I bought it, the spare tire could not fit into the boot for this exact reason!

Sort of like many prefer 8"/9" combo Borranis or 9" rear Cromodoras on Daytona.
I personally prefer appearance of stock 7.5" Cromodoras with 215/70 XWXs all around on them.

You probably noticed it in Bert's photo, taken at Spa in the early 90s, with his GTC. My own GTC was just a few cars along on that day!

To me, the SWB is the greatest car ever made. I'm loving this thread.
