    Dear Gentlemen,

i`m looking for rear mufflers for my 1981 - 400i

Maybe someone has some for sale or can someone help me where I can get those ?

Does anyone know which manufacturer originally made this mufflers.
I think it is not Ansa, am I right or am I wrong ?

I would like to buy very well used or new ones.

Furthermore, I also need the gas pressure shock absorbers for the hood.

I am very grateful for any help.

    Sincerely

    Zdenek :)

    Hi Zdenek,

The original exhaust is definitely made by Ansa. Here is a price example for rear muffler : https://www.okp.de/xtc2/Ansa/30-Auspuffanlagen/Hinten/ANSA-Schalldaempfer-hinten-rechts-Ferrari-400-400i-412::21772.html?language=de&MODsid=b953c48e2dbc5927a02dab80970bd4c3

Many choose stainless quality when replacing the exhaust as the Ansa is actually in many cases more expensive - but if You need or prefer the original black look then Ansa is the way to go. I myself bought stainless and painted it flat black before installing.

I replaced the six mufflers and pipes with a Timevalve system, stainless steel with the black crackle finish. Looks and sounds OEM.

I went with Timevalve, stainless painted black and ANSA stickers to look stock. I also went with straight pipes from the headers to the rear silencer.

I have the straight thru pipes for the center section, it's not quiet. Sounds great. If I was going to drive for a few hours I'd wear ear plugs.
