In Arabic ( as stated on google ) " Altair " is a name meaning " Flying eagle " Also one meaning can be that one of the largest stars in the sky visible to the naked eye and also in a reddish hue is called " Altair " Thank you

Yes , as Bryanp has also quoted above, it can be seen in factory literature and also , I was having a chat with a Maranello Ferrari dealer and he also referred to the model as "Altair ". I asked him if he knew what the name was , and him being younger than me simply told me that he did not know .
