It's awesome that you're young man has something he's so into.

For the second pie shell, I made a chocolate ricotta pie. Ricotta, chocolate chips, vanilla extract, a tbsp of sugar, 2 eggs. Parbake the shell, put in the filling, bake.

    Lisa would suggest Key Lime.

Oops, I see I’m too late....
But wait, key lime goes on a graham cracker crust, right? I don’t know, we’re not big bakers, like the talented young man above...he is awesome.

I would love that! Alas, had none of the ingredients and I had a glass or two of wine. So, no Kroger run. I went with what I had - ricotta, chocolate chips, etc. It's cooling now. I'll test it out on our company tomorrow!

Pie of a different kind. Pizza! I had an acorn squash, so Googled up this recipe.

    http://www.twoofakindcooks.com/acorn-squash-caramelized-onion-goat-cheese-pizza/

Sure, I kinda sorta got some of those ingredients in the fridge. Feta instead of goat cheese.
A little mozz in the base. Roasted acorn squash. Caramelized onions. Sprinkle some tarragon and garlic powder. Not bad.

Thanks...… I have great pain meds, morphine. I'm starting to feel better. Less pain and slowly getting my appetite back. I see my regular doctor Monday and hope I'm fully recovered. Glad I wasn't admitted to the hospital.

Morphine. Yikes. Glad you are feeling better.

The first NFL game has kicked off, which means it's now OK to open the booze locker! [emoji2]

Wine purists...look away. You have been warned.

    Love pink peppercorns!

Is that cranberry sauce done? Berries look pretty intact.

Duck was very good IMO! Pleasantly smoked, but not too much. Skin could have been a bit crispier.

    Looks great!
Saw them stuff salt under the skin of a turkey rather than brine it today, which supposedly gave a crisp skin....dr. Oz show.

Never heard of such a thing. You'd think under the skin it would make the flesh too salty. Will have to check that out online...T

Turkey hasn't been very appetizing to me in a while, but I have never wanted to dive into a turkey as badly as those broads right there.
