    I did a term with the RFDS out of Cairns - got some horror stories. I was also Med Super of a hospital in an aboriginal community - more horror stories. She should have joined those two sentences together: "...my brothers are more likely to go to jail for beating and raping..."

    When I worked in Mt Isa in the mid 70s I was coming out of Boyd's Hotel one night (an aboriginal pub back then) and I saw several teenage aboriginal boys trying to rip an aboriginal girls clothes off and rape her, pulled the little buggers off her (they were about 15/16 ) and kicked them in the arse, then the girls says to me "I suppose you want me all to yourself now !!"

    Like WTF, thanks for helping me snowflake:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: ...... I did feel sorry for her if that's what she had come to expect

    Yeah, I got a surprise when I filled my ute this week, first time it was more than $100 to fill.

    All sorts of geo-political factors, but I suspect the oil price spike in November, which takes a month to filter through the supply chain. Will probably stay at this level going forward, because Australia is under pressure to increase the strategic reserve.

    Time to buy a coal-fired electric car!
