    I am thinking the same but would a different driver really make a meaningful difference? LeClerc driving for his life just to fend off Max last 2 GP.... our strategy and car seem not quite competitive

    Good point, I forgot that rule!
    So I think it's good that Ferrari let Vettel keep running after his mistake, knowing very well that Vettel won't get any point, but just to absorb that 10sec penalty. Otherwise Vettel would get grid penalty the next race.
    I hope Vettel had the engine in the lowest mode after his mistake, to save the engine.
