I own a '77 3.0L survivor, Ice green metallic with black leather and tartan inserts. approx. 70k miles, well sorted and all numbers matching. I just put $14k into refreshing motor, trans and suspension. Hagerty would most likely say this car is a 3. Can someone give me a value range, I'm thinking of letting it go.

    Gents,

I am trying to find camshafts for my 77 3.0, and it seems very difficult. If anyone knows of a good source, please let me know here? Part numbers are:
    930.105.142.0R
    930.105.143.0R

    Cheers from Euroland!

    Question:

I got a 75 930 (#150). Is there any special treatment you can apply to the magnesium case after blasting?

I heard Gibbs is probably the way to go

Did you already blast it? With what media? Gibbs is great on magnesium but it's not going got be much use once the engine is built(temporary solution). You can send the case out for dichromate after the machine work is completed.

The engine block and trasmission are aluminium, not magnesium on all Turbos. But You should never use blasting on engine parts, it always affects the surface.

Question for the MY75 930 experts. First, the early 930's came with aluminum front cross members just like any 911 of the period. Im working on a 75 930 that has such an aluminum crossmember. However, the Pet clearly shows the aluminum crossmember and earlier tubular steel cross member in the diagram though it states no part number for the steel version. When I was removing the front fuel pump. I could see that the aluminum front cross member had a 1985 casting date on it so obviously the crossmember was changed at some point, which made me suspect that the car started life with the steel crossmember. if my assumptions are correct, the early 75 930's started out with steel crossmembers and at some point switched to the aluminum versions. When did the switch take place? If i am correct, I have an aluminum crossmember for sale.
