Not a horse, Martin: only a boxer (dog) (Ein Deutscher Boxer).
Nothing too serious with one of the female cats of the garden: she was weak and refused to eat. It was an infected wound around the mouth from a fight; a shot of antibiotics, mainly, and treatment of the wound.

    Hi Martin

    Is yours historically registered too?
Thus the two years for each Tüv?
Glad to hear it easily passed.
    Cheers
    Jason. Salzburgland

    Hi Jason,
yes. Historic registration. If you look close, you see the 'H' in the plate.
The two years for each TÜV applies to every car. Except new ones with three years after the first registration.

    Hi Martin

Yeah, this is a good bonus for those of us owning cars capable of holding this registration.
    Enjoy the remaining driving season!
    Cheers
    Jason

Applied Leatherique to the seats. They must have been thirsty as I have reapplied the rejuvenator three times already, it keeps soaking it in! The leather is already feeling softer!

Detailed the engine bay. So many confusing recommendations. The Napa aluminum brightener did work nicely on the rear cam cover. Griots engine cleaner left some white spots on the plastic bits.

looking to redo the wrinkle-coat on the airbox next.

The day after (today...) had lunch in Sierck-les-Bains, in the tip of France that touches Luxemburg and Germany...
Almost had trouble to find the car back in the parking lot, they are tiny, aren't they?

And another 150 miles yesterday, having lunch in the regions of the ponds (old network of ponds, used as a fish reserve since medieval times, later incorporated in the "aquatic part of the Maginot line").
Lunch outside in nice, warm weather; even if the storks are already gathering in the animal park of Rhodes, which could mean autumn is already coming, they will leave for Africa soon...
The car ran flawlessly; 500 miles in three days; the more they are driven, the better they feel.

After installing airbox with no sound deadening material, I installed Main Jet 135 and Air Corrector 190. I have improved the acceleration above 3500 rpm. Webers sound great with windows down.

My wife and I went to the Harmony Cafe in Cambria, Calif. Owner / Chef is from Modena. Great food and drinks.

My task was to replace my air filter. I spent some time thinking of a method to do this by myself. I finally figured it out and replaced my air filter without removing my rear deck lid from the my 308. I work by myself on my 308, so I had to figure out a way to create more space above the air filter housing. I used a piece of wood which fits across the trunk area to support a box with a rubber mat on top of it to protect the lower part of the deck lid. I placed the box where it would allow me access to the bolts holding the forward part of the deck lid. I placed a blanket to prevent any damage to forward part of deck lid. I also used another smaller box to adjust the lift of the forward part of the deck lid and I also moved the deck lid rearward to prevent any damage. After replacement of the filter, it was a matter of moving the larger box, smaller box, and pushing deck lid forward to attach the deck lid to the hinge plates. Two phillip screwdrivers installed in the alignment holes were very helpful.

After reading a thread on this chat group, I was able to finally get rid of that nasty VW whistle my 81 made during acceleration, see attached pics
