360 CS Conversion & Gated Shift

the only hardware change for a Superfast II CS is the f1 actuator (or even just the teeth part of the actuator), and some additional sensor and some wiring. And maybe a transplant of the "power unit" (as decribed by ferrari) since scud's f1 pressure is a little higher than CS, I'd think.

most of the work should be software.

 

A few months back I fixed this very gated CS conversions issues so it now drives as it should. It's owner is Khan and he's a really nice guy. He's actually on here but I don't think he comes on very often.

If you remember back to Sam @seenthroughglass, the famous YouTube car vlogger, he drove it and felt very underwhelmed. It was because it was still running in F1 mode and running in half broken state because whoever they had got to do the ECUs didn't really know what they where doing and botched the job by turning off every single fault code! Even detonation and safety checking. Absolutely shockingly bad. The poor CS, it wasn't even running gated software so in the end all they did to hide their botches was deactivating ALL fault class codes in the ecu which is a terrible way to delete hardware! Whomever did this if your reading hang your head in shame!

If you do it this way the software still knows about the fault present and drives much worse because of it, your just hiding the CEL. For instance if you hide the fault for say air injection without truely disabling the system your car will run super rich on cold start and no CEL will complain. Similarly same thing on cat efficiency, just deactivate the code and well your still reserving torque for various functions and deactivating fueling maps for cat protection. It's all a big mess if you don't do it as per the way Bosch calibrated things at the factory.

So in summary while some tuners can get away with hiding CELs many, like poor Khan's car never run properly ever again and are therefore underwhelming which is a real shame.

Thankfully all is good on his car now. My only recommendation now is to swap that center console.. Its the only thing I don't personally like now on his car, I'd have one made in CF in Same style as CS or if its too much hassle modify a 360 Challenge one to fit like what I run today... [emoji12]

Yes but all the normal sources are NLA

 

Yes not as if I have to fabricate any parts just remove FI system and replace with gated shift parts.
Harder to convert a gated shift 360 to a F1 system..

2. complete outer control ## 184022 HOLY GRAIL !!
With just these two parts you would have it licked all down hill..
There so much new technology parts can be made now like never before.

 

Beginning CS build no CS bumpers anywhere only aftermarket or from wreck CS,s
After years looking Neil from Eurospares calls Ferrari remaking nine sets Euro front and rear style bumpers.
So far just in one week I have already found OEM clutch pedal and outside control unit BRAND NEW IN A BOX !! problem !! they know what they have want be cheap.
