Marcel: I remember seeing that car, or one like it in the Philadelphia area. It was red.
Not sure but I think the body was made by Fantuzzi.
John Apen told me that there were actually two similar cars, one built on a GTE chassis and one built on a 330 chassis.
Is any of this true or did the cars have a different lineage?

Thank you very much for the answer Marcel, but I have a photo of the interior of the 024MB chassis from the same Geneva Motor Show 1950, and if you look at the car standing next to it, this car is the second series of Touring with smooth sides, and the car on the 023S chassis is the first series.

I think it was 024M originally, and that the "B" was added to show its rebirth as used for the "Uovo" that Giannino M had built. But what do I know? Image Unavailable, Please Login

I just love how photos like this show the OEM (i.e. authentic) details of these cars when they were new.
One can clearly see the fitting & trimming of interior carpets/upholstery/etc having been far different than they are on most of the restored examples today.

How on earth could they have shown a 1948 design when the Series 2 had already been shown in Paris (10/49) and Series 3 was being prepared for Turin (4/50)? In the early days Ferrari always showed the most recent and luxurious version they had available in order to charm the potential customers and they would not waste that opportunity by showing models of yesteryear. The racing cars were displayed to catch the attention while road cars were what they were trying to sell.

Good afternoon, I agree with you, judging by the photo this is the second series, it remains to find out the chassis number.

FYI the labelling of your photo states "Ferrari 166 MM (1949) - Blick ins Interieur.jpeg.3062271".
1949. Not 1950. Naturally the labelling can be totally wrong.
What makes you sure that the dashboard/interior photo really is from 024 MB (the ivory/white 166 MM Barchetta Touring)?
Where does this interior photo originate from? Who took it?
And how about a photo showing the Ferrari stand in Geneva March 1950?

    Hello Marcel, Happy New Year.

    1. Geneva Motor Show 1949 can not be, since the 0004M chassis has a different arrangement of devices, so this name is incorrect.

    2. I assume that this is a photo of the dashboard / interior from 024MB as this photo shows the Geneva Motor Show 1950 that is visible on the carpets of the pavilion.

    3. This is a photo from the site www.zwischengas.com.

    4. Unfortunately, I do not have a photo with a view of the whole large-format stand, but only a photo that Aardy published in another topic.

I'm not sure if this one has been posted. A random find of mine.

I am sure that someone will chime in with the city, year and VIN.
