    14353 is a RHD car and I don't think they came with silver noses.

    Curious how RHD gets a different treatment. The Euro 1971 Daytona in Rosso Rubino had the silver paint when delivered new.

    I recall Marcel mentioning the silver paint was a 'choice'. Though it doesn't seem to have been offered after 1971.

    the silver nose was an attempt to mimic the plexi nose however new owners immediately repainted the silver to match body color.

    You discussed this with Grant a long time ago, who had emailed Mike Osgood who worked at Maranello Concessionaires during the Daytona period. See here.

    Perhaps it was a Colonel Ronnie Hoare requirement that the noses be painted body colour, just as he specified the leather boot around the open gearshift gate?
