I see now that the side profile is not quite right; door line is too high.

Today I received the 1985 Ferrari 156/85 F1 driven by Alboreto by Tecnomodel. I'm not a fan of Tecnomodel, but compared to the version by GP Replica, this model actually looked really good in pictures and it doesn't disappoint in real life either. I also didn't want to wait on the Looksmart version.

I do have a question: in some adds separate Marlboro decals are included (you have to apply them yourself). I didn't get them with my example and the seller told me he also expected them to be included but somehow Tecnomodel decided to omit them. did anyone get this model *with* the decals?

Unless you have a TON of patience , ordering from CK modelecars, orCarModel, etc or any other dealers takes 3-6 weeks to get to the USA these days, horrible service by EMS, USPS-it used take just 8-10days.

The problem is US Customs! What used to arrive in 2 days at most using FedEx Next Day now takes 8-10 days.

It also depends on where you live in the US. The coasts are a mess as alot of stuff goes into NYC/JFK and LA/LAX. I live in the middle and I get most shipments pretty fast unless they route into JFK or LAX. MIA/ATL/CVG/IND/MEM/DFW/ORD are running pretty well still as is ANC/SEA. Cali is a major mess as usual.

Don't waste your money. It is a terrible model, and looks like a cheap toy. Numerous mistakes/flaws/inaccuracies.

In all photographs I could fin the #22-wearing ('49 Le Mans winner?) has additional deflectors after the rear wheel arch.

..Yap, i started to look more closely and the mistakes kept popping out....at least the tecno had better finish...oh well, i guess this place will remain empty on my shelf.....i want one so bad!!! How come those idiots at Mattel didn't used their 166 (wich was rather decent in my opinion) to make this version!!!

Well, Mattel never made this version because as you correctly put it, they are "idiots."

I'm totally bummed... I received my Teconomodel Ferrari 156-85 Stefan Johansson #28 car today via ebay, as I unpacked and opened the box, I notice it was broken.. This is my second Teconomodel that arrived damaged, as there was no packing material help protect the most fragile part of the car, its rear wing! I might be able to repair it. Has anyone else experiencing the same problems???

    That's so annoying.

Crazy on such expensive models they don't take more care with packing material.

It would be better if it was designed in that the spoiler comes seperately and is then slotted in place once safely delivered.
