Etienne Léandri has nothing to do with Charles Pasqua. Two différent "Etienne Léandri" there. The one linked to Pasqua is deceased in 1995. The cars are from the estate of a Monaco attorney deceased in 2020.

Saw this last Monday, well from a distance through the window, the Clay Ragazzoni F40. Displayed at the Clay Ragazonni Memorial museum in Switzerland.

The owner is happy to let the car be shown, which is nice. Cavallino, Miami Concours, Amelia Island all so far in 2022. As shown by Moopz already, the car was part of the Concours itself this year, in a Supercar display that was actually out both Saturday and Sunday (the rest of the field was just Sunday). Pic attached.

The parking garage could use a thorough wash, but moreso much better lighting, especially considering the hotel it's attached to. Some areas are as dark as a dungeon. Although in a way it's fun to walk around the garage on Amelia weekend and see this plain-Jane environment casually holding a 917K, F40, 959, 993 GT2, Carrera GT, LaFerrari, Huayra, Speedtail, etc. (all there together last weekend, among others).

The auction F40 has @ 8,254 miles by comparison which makes the estimate appear realistic.

Who knows - euro car at a European auction. Doesn’t mean much for the usa crowd from my perspective. I think it does 1.5m euros

Perhaps it doesn't mean much for what USA F40s trade for in the USA, but it does mean something for Eu/ROW F40 values in the worldwide market which I note includes the USA which happens to be currently buying a significant percentage of the supply of Eu/ROW F40s and importing them.

Trying to find a non cat / non adjust car, let alone one with good history is not an easy task. The car on offer seems like a good example, though you may need to budget some service work to make useable. Not everyone in the US is comfortable with buying overseas and importing, but if you can work that out or hire a professional that can help you navigate, it’s really not difficult. If someone is in the market for a Euro F40, I would check with Marcel on history and take a hard look at this one. There are plenty of people in Europe that can PPI the car as well.

The biggest mistake I made searching for an F40 was not realizing how truly amazing the car would be to drive. It is truly like no other car and worth the price of admission no matter the market. There is no perfect market or time to buy. If you’re an enthusiast and are keeping it for the long term, you will never regret your decision; you will only regret not buying one sooner.

As for what this car will do at this moment in time, I’ve never been good at predicting or understanding auction results. What I can say is that based on what I have seen in the recent market, anything less than $2MM would be a real opportunity and perhaps the war in the Ukraine will create a blip in the market for some lucky bidder. Perhaps not, but you have to be in it to win it. Best of luck to whoever is considering it!

Can a non-Cat car be imported to the US? I thought imports >25 years old are exempt from FMVSS but not EPA?

Yes they can but id rather have a non bladder usa car. You can take the cats out of an f40 but not the bladders.
