    Absolutely amazing fabrication work you do!!
    I know you said you're doing straight pipes, but if you want, I have a beat up old euro Ansa exhaust you can have. Would give you a cat delete exhaust for starting and moving around without going deaf.

    Thanks for the offer Eric! I’m still monthsish away from fire in the hole. I’ve only been getting a few minutes a day working on it, going through the harness and remaking it all for lengths required for new layout, decided to go flux capacitor route. Made a new aluminum mount with flair, now cutting wires. I’m planning the absolute bare minimum of wires to run ignition, lights and fans. If I wasn’t so lazy I’d make adapters to run M5 Morris Magnetos and have no wires running the engine

    Fast forward to July 4th, decided to try and fire the engine, cranked it for a few seconds at a time, zippo, kept trying. Zip. Put a spark indicator on number one plug and nothing, it was then that I noticed the oil flooding out the bottom of the filter mount, dammit. It was loose when I purchased the engine so I cranked it tight and tested, Exxon Valdez disaster happened again. Shut the lights off, closed the shop door and walked away. I had some time this morning before work to pull the housing and see what the hell. Color me stupid, there were three spring washers under the mount perfectly spacing it above the seal, my fault for not looking. Fixed that, cranked with no leaks. Still no spark but theres power to the coils, got out the XDI book and went thru all my wiring five or six more times before I put in the call to skunkworks (aka I forgot more than you’ll ever know, SMG2) quick diagnosis right over the phone and…. Figured out the crank sensor was not adjusted correct…. Anyway

    The fuel tank is just in front of the wing, it’s a temporary stainless Empi unit until the Moon tank is built

    Time for a throttle cable, since it’s a carbed engine in a QV chassis, the cable is way to long, I don’t want to have one made or cut the cable and do a ferrule thingy. I just want an off the shelf part that works so the solution was to cut the welds on the pedal and reclock the arm until it works then reweld

    When I re-wired the e-brake, I ended up using a lot of standing rigging from West Marine. The turnbuckles and Hi-MOD compression forks were ideal for dialing in the brake. Also ended up using a wire eye strap to reroute the cable away from the exhaust.
