Does anyone know if there is a cross reference or replacement part for this pair of cut off valves? My hose, part 31, basically disintegrated from age and fell off, causing the RH plastic valve to make contact with the engine, melt, and smoke into the cabin.

This was the cause of my other post where I thought I smelled clutch.

I'd like to replace the whole assembly, 4 hoses and the 2 valves across the front.

    TIA

In reality it was probably caused by bad air injection check valves which should prevent exhaust gas from getting into the system and destroying everything. The check valves are a service item and I replace them every major service avoiding that problem. How old are yours?

There was just a thread a week or 2 ago about the shut off valves and where to get them. Either here or the 308 area. Do a search.

I'm not sure on the age but I'd assuming they're old....

Thank you. Am I correct to go with the 2 AC-Delco 214-1045 as referenced in the thread?

Yes. I usually get them at Rock Auto. But the cut off valves are a separate part.

I ordered 3 check valves from Ricambi and I also found a few used plastic cut off valves as well online.

For hose/pipes #28 and #31, that's nothing special, correct? Just a braided hose?

    Thanks for the help guys!

    Excellent write up, thank you.

Rifledrive mentioned the valves going bad and a reverse flow of exhaust, that's exactly what seems to have happened with mine. It likely explains the odd whirling noise as well. It will be nice to have this part of the system redone and also keep it original.

Thanks again for all who helped. Parts are in transit.
