Is this the same car that was sitting at a Naples FL restorer for years? According to this photo, this was the first one ... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yep. This is the car that Al Ierardi in Naples restored. Was shown at Cavallino at least once, and maybe twice. I always wondered how it could be proven that it was the "first", but I guess the documentation is pretty good, especially if Gooding will now offer it at auction.
Thank you for the info. I thought it looked familiar. What’s the over under ?300k ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My recollection is that it eventually sold for $150,000, but I could be mistaken. Ieardi was a member here but banned for conducting business on the site without a commercial membership, or something similar to that.
He posted about it on Fchat before. Referenced the different dash material vis a vis period pics of the car
To clarify - the different dash material of the Paris show car vis a vis the prod. cars. His resto was correct.
I know. I was just stating that the show car gauges were in a different location than production cars
Darn digital comm. Clarification wasn't addressed at you. What I had written was ambiguous. And yeah you're right about the gauges.
This car has been on here for some time. It was an owner car that he sold after flood damage. Al picked up - unfortunately for the first owner he didn't know it was car #1. It deserved to be with Al, who many consider the premier GT4 restorer in the world. It will be interesting to see what it gets. Anyone want to go over/under $200k ? https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/first-dino-308-gt4-ever.398993/ https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/the-first-gt4-video.616476/#post-147031763 https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/first-dino-308-gt4-ever.398993/
