I have a friend in Shenzhen who is looking for a bottle of this BV Chardonnay but in a 2010. I'm sure one or two members here may have a bottle they would part with and would call the shots on the price, I'd be appreciative. Please let me know.

    Thanks in advance - Pete

You can usually find stuff pretty easy on places like Winesearcher or other sites but I don't see any Chardonnay that old. Do people hold white wines that long? That would be a 14 year old white wine by now.

I used to look for oddball wines once in a while but haven't for a long time so someone else might have better luck. Can find all kinds of BV red wines from 2010 easily.

Pete. If you do find a 2010, make certain the cellar has the total history/provenance of the bottle. That wine is way over the hill, unless it has been perfectly cellared since release. Did you contact BV direct? That would be my first stop. Good luck

"1.) Cork looks unusually good... Cork Change interval is usually recommended every 5-10 years on this wine, however, low sediment content in this case indicates you could most likely wait another year or so on this bottle.

2.) Label seems healthy and in original condition... can confirm label has not been swapped with another bottle of a rarer vintage.

3.) Highly recommend a complete fluid change at the earliest possible opportunity."

California whites generally last a MAXIMUM of 10 years, and frankly anything over 7 is pushing it, unless it was expertly cared for.

Pete. There's a reason for that. As others have written, a 2010 Cali Chard that any retailer would have would have been sold within 5 years of release. This bottle would not have been a collector wine, so no luck there. If BV does not have any in their library (I'll bet they have vintages of GdL from the 50's) you are mostly likely out of luck. Sorry.
