The technological highlight was the rolling chassis. Poor picture but it was amazing to see.. Image Unavailable, Please Login

I think it looks good. I am sure when the F40 was introduced, if there message boards back then, people would be puking all over themselves as well.
The price on this car is really something. Ca €2.950.000 net Over 4.5 times an SF90 XX Over 12 times a 296 GTB (shared engine block) LaF was roughly €1 million net Roughly 4.5 times an F12 (shared engine block) Just under 5 times 458/488. Ferrari are absolutely milking it with F80, car will probably gross them close to, if not above, €1B in gross profit. Before XX and Spider.
296 gtb just did a 6:58 on Nordschleife 296 its 5,7 sec slower on Fiorano then F80, a track of 3km lenght. Nordschleife has 22km. So over 7 time the lenght of Fiorano. F80 may be a sub 6:30 car.
Sorry if this is a repeat (there are too many messages for me to catch up on) but 799 F80s and 599 SP3s. Kinda makes the SP3 more special? Though I expect there will be an F80 Aperta in 2 years with less numbers which might be a closer match to the SP3 since they are both open tops.
F80 is definitely a wow car. Interestingly, the wheelbase is 1.5 cm shorter than in W1 but overall length is 20.5 cm longer! Wheelbase / Length F80: 2665 mm / 4840 mm W1: 2680 mm / 4635 mm W1 is 1.2 cm wider, but F80 is 4.4 cm lower. Width / Height F80: 2060 mm / 1138 mm W1: 2074 mm / 1182 mm Ferrari will be much more imposing with those dimensions.
Not to mention the F50 and Enzo designs which were both widely condemned when they were introduced. The F80 is no different and a lot of the people that hate it today will love it when they see it in person.
I did a very poor attempt on my phone to scribble away the black trim so i could get just an estimate on how this car would look like with no black trim across the front and this is what came out Image Unavailable, Please Login
So we have to love him because Ferrari is always right and only does extraordinary things, and we have no choice but to love him, otherwise we are a stupid person... Am I right ?
Are you blind or something ?!? It's ****in' HIDEOUS, especially that UGLY black stripe. This car is a monumental failure: it has less HP than the new McLaren, a **** V6 engine and it looks HIDEOUS. Ferrari's management should be executed.
I don't get it why Ferrari kept the digital start/stop button. Turning your car alive is such an important interaction, and they reduced it to a cold digital flat surface. Just like the other modern F-cars. At 3 million euros(!!!), it should have a mechanical button that you can feel with your fingertips and be able to push or turn or whatever. It should feel far more special and tactile. We experience the world through our senses, and by feeling something with our fingertips, and being able to push/pull/turn, creates a much more engaging experience. This is my biggest complaint about the F80. I actually thinks it is unacceptable for such a special car.
I'm not in the market at all, but ~$4mm for a V6 and Hot Wheels styling? No thanks, I'll head over to the Pagani dealer instead. Or the Bugatti dealer...or literally anywhere else, for that matter. Both this car and the W1 do nothing for me, nothing but spreadsheets on wheels. Sure, they generate incredible numbers, but the looks, the sound, the ethos...nothing. Hell if you really want a hybrid AWD tech fest, you can pick up a 918 along with your Pagani Utopia for roughly what this costs and I think you'd have more fun. I'm sure this will sell well to eastern buyers, but I really don't think many people spending $4mm on a hyper-limited production range-topping Ferrari are quite looking for something like this.
