I have a new (less than 2K miles) Tahoe that is starting to give me concern. Since new, a substantial amount of water vapor has been coming out of the tailpipe and it continues long after the car has warmed up;this morning, the water started dripping out of the back of the muffler also.

Is it me or should I be concerned?

cataltyic converter - It converts motor exhaust into carbon dioxide, and water.

    Nothing to be worried about

I read between the lines you worry for a warped head or some other reason for coolant to be getting into the combustion chamber?

For 20 bucks you can answer that and many other questions.
This place seems straight up, I have used them:

classic308. If you have a blown head gasket, you should A) be able to almost have a "sweet" smell near the tail of the vehicle............ and B) no doubt, if that car is warmed up, and your outside temp is above 40-50, there should be ZERO white smoke from that exhaust.

Again. The only time your'e gonna see vapor (as-it-were) is if its a super cold day out. (just like breathing into the air).

If you are in doubt, get it checked out and DOCUMENTED by the dealer.

Forget it. The thing is about to blow up. I'll take it off your hands for $3,500. ;)

This guy is scam artist. Don't listen to him.

I'm confident I'll be able to correct your problem for slightly less than $10,000. Just deposit the check into my Nigerian bank account.

My Tahoe redeemed itself tonight in this snowstorm here in the Tri-state area; ran like a champ on the Hutch and 684;many accidents and lots of BMWs and MBs stranded on the side of the road including an X5 whose owner apparently thought the the laws of physics didn't apply to him-he ended up stuck in the center median after passing me less than 5 minutes before. This x5 and and one other car were the only ones that passed me on 684. I must tell you that there were quite a few Saabs holding their own in this weather. Very impressive....
