Haven't heard anything about it.. what are the details? Location, time, expected turnout, etc. I'll be in town this weekend and need stuff to do. -R
It will be held at the Vinnoy Park on the water in Downtown St Pete from 10-5. They have over 100 cars registered with a confirmed Enzo.
Sounds good. Assuming the weather is good, I'll be there. Is that Saturday and Sunday or just one or the other? -R
This is not a TSC event, thus it is not being run by TSC Events, only one of the principals. Dont know how an event can be called "Festival of Speed" when its only going to be a bunch of cars sitting under trees in a park. The event is being billed as a replacement event for the St. Petersburg Grand Prix. Nothing may be further from the truth. A good event to miss. BHW
I'm registered for the Concours. Red/Tan Spider...come over and say hi. They will also have boats and bikes. This year the are honoring Rolls Royce and there is a cool yacht hop Saturday night.
Frank, I won't be able to make the events scheduled for Sat but I will be there on Sunday as well. I'll see you then. Greg
Welp since it's free and I have nothing better to do, I'll stop by for a bit on Sunday morning before heading for the beach -R
Just got back. I was plesantly surprised. There were more ferraris than I expected, There were 2 enzos,a F50, 550 Barchetta, a couple of 550's, numerous 360's and 355's, a couple of testarossa's, and a nice 3.2 mondial cab. They also had some nice cars from other marques. Jag 220, Aston martins, Porsche GT1, Mercedes CLK-Gtr race car, several Lambos. Frank, was that ypur car with the 3M info on it? Wasn't sure if that was you or not.
I stopped by for about an hour and actually had a good time. Spent a bit of time talking to one of the guys from FoCF, then just wandered. Nice cars, nice setting, close to home, and free. Can't say anything about the yacht hop or the entrants' perspective, but it was a nice weekend diversion... Seeing 911 GT1, CLK GTR, S7, F50, couple Enzos, etc is never a bad thing. Speaking of which, who the heck is the G. Petrik guy who has all these cars? Seems to have one of the best collections I've seen. -R
