    maurice,

When stripping the carburettor remove all the jets and wash in clean petrol, pull all the jets / tubes apart especiallythe slow running jets (# 22)

Blow through the jets with an air line and visually look to see that they are clear.

Blow through the carb where the slow running jet screws in, being careful not to use too much pressure.

Remove circlip (# 59) and remove the spring and plunger, clean off carbon deposits and refit - slightly "re-stretch" the springs.

Check that the pump diaphragm (#27) are in good condition.

Check condition of needle valves (#11) make sure the needle is seating properly and that there isn't a wear ring on the needle

Replace all gaskets and "o" rings and re-set float levels - 46mm with gasket.
