Ferrari's have been out in force this weekend! Saw a red 456 GT on the M1, heading North on Saturday. Today, saw a 355 (my mate was here in his for the wekeend) and didnt see another while we were out in it. He went home and I went out for 10 mins, saw an 04 260 in Red on the Upper Richmond Road, then saw a 355 Spyder in Barnes, on the same road. The Spyder sounded awesome! Also, off subject, but saw 2 Coutach's today too - I've never seen one moving before, then I see two in a day!
3 today! Black 328GTS Bute Street Silver 360 'w' reg near the County Hall TDF F355 Spyder approaching the 'Magic Roundabout'
Today at about 6:15pm, Red F40 at Hurtmore/Puttenham junction of A3, Surrey - didn't get to see the reg, wondered if might be the same one I saw in Guildford a while ago?
Just got back from the West End (London)....saw a yellow 355 Berlinetta followed by a red 360 spider (Challenge Grill) followed by a red 355 spider!!!!? - All sounded un-tubified to me... Saw a silver 550 Maranello parked up a few roads away and then about 5mins later another red 355 Berlinetta (Challenge Grill) flies past me (un-tubified)........

.....considering the bright sunshine, the angles involved and the time of day, I think the paintwork looks a little dull.....was that he case "in the flesh" ??? toodle pip, d
Looks to me more like the digi cam effect. They quite often mess up reds, especially the rosso corsa variety, unless you amend settings or tweak them in PS or similar later. I have a 10D and great camera though it is, in what you would normally consider good conditions it can make a real hash of the red...
I have a D30 (D10 predecessor) and I find the best way to get good reds out of it is to shoot in RAW mode and do all the work in Photoshop. Doesn't take very long once you get used to it. Spotted Stig in his black 308 in Woking today. Looked lovely.
Hi Dave - my office has smoked glass windows...that's the culprit! Could have played around with PhotoShop to try and fix it, but didn't.... Cheers, MARK
Yesterday: Rosso 360 spyder, reg 15 AW (owned by andy Williams) driving along castle st in 2nd gear as usual!
Agreed. I also find using a polariser helps out too. The D30's a great camera - my first DSLR. Traded it in for the 10D and am now considering either trading that in for a 1DmkII or perhaps just adding the latter to my kit list...
I have had good results with the polariser to reduce reflections, but last time I used it I was indoors under poor lighting, not shooting RAW mode, and still had a lot of trouble with reds (I was at the NEC shooting in the Galleria Ferrari). That was before I discovered how great RAW mode was. I don't think I've bothered with the polariser since. I just keep forgetting to give it another try.
I don't have a digital SLR yet, but over the past 20 years have become a closet collector (and user) of 35mm, medium and large format roll-film cameras. I will admit to being a polariser junkie. A polariser used with Fujichrome produces the punchiest reds as far as I'm concerned.. MARK
This afternoon - yellow 360 Spyder with Scuderia shields and red calipers at the Wyevale garden centre off the A30 near Sunningdale. Yesterday - some tw*t in Bracknell in an MR2/355 abortion, who went as red as his 'car' when I beeped him and roared past. There should be some sort of law against people driving those tragic hatchet jobs :-/ Cheers, TOM
