Last weekend, McLaren Mercedes star Kimi Raikkonen married his long- time girlfriend Jenni Dahlman. Engaged since 2002, the former Miss Scandinavia and Raikkonen married in a private ceremony last Saturday in their native Finland. With the summer break in full swing, Raikkonen will be back in action for the Hungarian Grand Prix, keen to put the memories of the German Grand Prix firmly behind him. Earl ALEXANDER CAPSIS International I just thought this deserved its own little thread. Congratulations Kimi! Hope to see you wearing a red uniform in the future and driving a red car.
If that's her............. smart move. I hope he has a prenup. I'm sure Jeff Gordon wishes he had one.
********! Man he drives a F1 car for work and gets to come home to her ... Geez some people get all the luck ... My job is no where near as good as his ... Pete
Kimi has done well for himself. This season must be very frustrating to say the least. This wedding wil help him regain some of his focus. I am sure the young lady will convince him to join Ferrari to replace Rubens in 2006.
I'd go for that one without a pre nup...... Whaddaya NUTS????????? Congrats to the new MR. and MRS. R, well done I say....... Jeffy boy doesn't miss the money, he misses the nookie........LOL!
Holy cow. Anyone notice that, since he has been with her, he has completely lost his previously bad case of acne? Heh.... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Heck, he even looks cool on those Tag Heuer ads. Lives up to the Iceman's image. C'mon Maranelloman, give me a Val Kilmer from Top Gun biting his teeth!
Yea, mine cleared up too! About the time grey hair started showing up! No justice in life! Kimi's probably about finished puberty by now! LOL!
i cant stand kimi he should never be in a ferrari ever. i think he has no persenality (probobly spelled wrong lol) andcant drive that good.
lol! "Can't drive that good." ? Which dimension are you in? Ironically that sounds like something Kimi would say! He is one of the top 3 Formula 1 drivers at the moment when it comes to raw speed (next to Michael Schumacher and Fernando Alonso).
no no no no no no no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! kimi is not capable of racing as good as others. why is he in the top three and not rubens or jensen
yes yes yes yes etc Because McLaren-Mercedes (his team) haven't provided him with a good car this year. The biggest problem has been the engine; it kept blowing up during the races, resulting in DNF's (Did Not Finish's) for Raikkonen. Mercedes said that basically they were too radical with the design of the engine and subsequently it couldn't last a race weekend. Apparently this problem was fixed for the last race, and Kimi was driving extremely quickly in Hockenheim, challenging Schumacher.... until his rear wing flew off at 300kmph, resulting in a loss of downforce and loss of control. Yet again, the blame lies with those who designed and built his car. I suggest you take a look at his results last year for a better indication of his ability. What you have to realise is that driver skill alone doesn't determine who wins and who loses; it's the overall package of driver, car, race strategy, team organisation and leadership, etc that ultimately determines who's on the highest step of the podium.
This may just be a rumor, but I'd heard he was changing his name from Kimi to Lucky...Lucky Bastard. Congratulations on his marriage. It must be good to be Kimi.
While it may be true that the running costs are high, the joy of the overall experience makes it worth it. Not unlike what many say about Ferraris, BTW. Which would you rather have? A high-strung beautiful sports car with high running costs that still stops you dead when you see it? Or a big, roomy, old Chevy van that always gets you where you need to go and requires little to no attention?
