Getting bored now that winter is upon us in Michigan. I often look at the many pics in this category for reference material. I decided to post my car as I've not seen another Nero Black Metallic TR before. Up close it's charcoal gray/black with a metallic, from 20 feet away it's simply black. My car is a "driver" TR and not a show car, so she's a bit camera shy.

Nice car. You did great with the pictures. Engine detail looks very nice too. I have seen a 91 in that color.

Not sure why it's camera shy, looks great! Engine looks beautiful.

Now that is NICE, VERY NICE. Wife wanted the Nero instead of Rosa. Which brand of wax on BLACK? Tried the Maguiers 3 part system on the Porsche (RED) and it leaves OIL LIKE STREAKS when you touch it. Going to try there clay bar system on the Rolls BEFORE I try anything on the TR.
    Your HARD WORK SHOWS!!

...Thank You All for the compliments, it's nice to know one's work is appreciated. I could write quite a horror novel about all the repairs I've done to this car. But I'm not sorry for a minute that I did it. I've driven the snot out of her lately, every day that is clear and dry, and will continue to do so right up until it snows or they salt the roads....which will be any day now.

LRPMAN...for wax I used Maguires Gold and it seems to work pretty well. But prior to waxing I washed the car 4 times in a row, then blow-dried nooks and crannies, then clay bar, then wax. After the 4th washing the car was looking very good, and wax hardly improved it any. I'm a believer in getting the car as clean as humanly possible prior to waxing, which then goes on and comes off much easier. TRs are a bear to wash and dry...as I'm sure you know. Even with the car spotless it really doesn't reach out and grab you- due to the color, it just looks nice. This is my first Ferrari but certainly not my last!

    That's a great looking car!
I've never seen a Testarossa engine that clean, spotless!

Isn't it funny how fast you forget all the trouble/expenses once you start the engine and go for a drive?

Very nice, how do you keep the engine compartment so clean? Mine looks like something died in there...
