Just another hybrid GTS/B Full pics later. I love this look! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very nice Tillman, looks great! Take some pics from further back when you get a chance. Did you just have the targa top painted also?
My apologies for the poor lighting, it's overcast today. This is similar to, but not identical with the Charness mod. Jano, our local bodywork genius, came up with a different way to do the louver that eliminates the large lip. Looks really good - excellent execution. Made up a quick little edit to match the B-pillar to the rest of the window trim to carry the theme of the glazing color uninterrupted. Either way, it's nice. Great job! best rt Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks really good. Interesting how the colored top and no louvers affects the lines of the car. Wish F had made a colored top an option.
Horrible! Keep it stock! Just kidding! Very nice I must say! I love how this amplifies the car's window/cabin lines. May I inquire, if I send your shop my louvers, will they modify them? At what cost? Thanks!
A couple of responses: 1) That's the stock top, sanded smooth and painted to match the car. The metalflake gave the shop heck, but it looks factory now. 2) I don't know if the shop would make more, or what he would charge. I know what I paid, but that was before he knew what kind of labor was involved. He's an Fchatter, I would suggest sending him a PM or email Thanks for the postitive vibes. Now if I can only get the scratch for carbon fiber interior parts, a 4.0 litre engine, and a suede-covered steering wheel...
That is really nice Tillman. Looks really clean! Congrats on a job well done. The guy who did the job has a nice 348!
Just to show where Tillman is going with this, here's the original mock-up. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Back from the dead... Just an FYI, overcast days are MUCH better for photographing people and cars as there is much less contrast (more even lighting) and glare. The lighting you have in those pictures is fine.
I really like the look - it's a smooth transition from the front to the rear. Plus, you have the option to take it off on a nice sunny day. Can't beat that. Enjoy.
Excellent and clean look. How did they modify the plastic louvres? Is there a number to call to see if they'll modify additional louvres?
How does it look close up? I know the GTS rear windows have rubber seals which look like they're still visible throught he open louvre area?
It's nice to know I was an "inspiration" for this! Details and closeups of the louver mod are at www.mlcpartners.com/ferrari/308GTSB/ Image Unavailable, Please Login
Oh, and updated pics that show the car after putting on Tristram's (ExcelsiorZ) suspension upgrades with the car substantially lowered. Tillman, that's what you need to do next!! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Veddy, veddy Intelesting. In conjunction with modded louvres, open form of wheels seems to create negative space on the upper rear. trompe l'oeil - fool the eye. I mean that in a good way.
