Any So. Cal. F-chatters affected by the rain? I know there are several F-chatters living near/on hillsides, and hope everyone's okay. I've heard there's a chance of rain next week, too. What happened to the beautiful California weather? Time to move to different state?
In the previous big rainstorm a good portion of our bank collapsed and I got to spend about 6 hours shoveling mud and dirt back up onto the bank and off the sidewalk. Also the roof of our family room suffered some nice rain damage and leakage, which is now getting worse with this set of rain. Prediction is a brand new roof when the weather turns sunny. Nothing that could threaten the stability of the house though thankfully.
Well my loft has some water damage on one wall but not earth-shattering - will just leave it 'til it dries out and have it fixed. Drove my 380SL today - got all ambitious - and my factory original top leaks a bit so got a few dribbles but nothing serious. I live in a 90-year-old building that's been through all manner of crap and is still here so touch wood we're in good shape. Did see some landslides etc in other areas but nothing major, although I'm wondering about some of the trouble spots from the last go-around as it seems to really be p!ssing down this time!! Cheers Kevin
If the retaining wall that holds up my foundation stays put, I'll be ok. Now as for my commute through Laurel Canyon.. ugh. Looks like I'll be leaving the house @ 7am for the next week. If we had 5M wannabe actors leave the state I couldn't be happier. I can't stand watching our servers read scripts for sh*t they'll never get while hard working people wait for their meal. Bring back the career waiter/butler/server! -Chris
was almost rear ended by a speeding car in the rain, thankfully i moved outta the way and the car swirved to a stop right next to me, *looks outside, yup, still raining*
OH!!! thank god the stang is ok..... oh yeah and you too sean. LOL Yeah i hate those morons that think they can drive just as fast (or brake as well) as when it is dry.
Hope no one's house is flooded and is using their F-cars to dry their stuff... Image Unavailable, Please Login
