It's blue... With a white stripe down the middle... Owned by Bernard Carl, in NY... It's the first 250 GTO i EVER saw in person... Was that the kind of information you were looking for...?
NNO - you lucky devil...I have yet to see a GTO in person. The day I do will be one of the most memorable of my life. Ken - I got the following information from Keith Bluemel's book, Ferrari 250GTO: Original sale date was 16 March '62 and 3387 was delivered to the US. Its original colour was Blu Gentiana Metallic with a white stripe. It is a LHD vehicle. It was originally built with identical features to the first GTO built, 3223GT. In my opinion, the wackiest fact about (at least that is in the book) 3387 is that it was stolen in '89 by the world's dumbest criminal who advertised the car for sale (using his home number & address). It started its racing career at Sebring in 1962 where it finished 2nd overall and 1st in class at the capable hands of Phil Hill and the late Olivier Gendebien. Its last race was in 1964 where it raced at SCCA Thompson Raceway where it finished 4th overall and 2nd in class. If you'd like, I can fax you the two pages regarding 3387. PM me your fax number if interested (I'd fax it on Monday). Andrew
I understand that a ride in 3387 is not easily forgotten... http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=134765889&postcount=1

Wolfgang, that's it...! Zach, when you saw it, was it at Autosport...? Bradley tipped me off about its location and i immediately took a lunch break and drove like a bat out of hell to get there and check it out... i couldn't believe it was right there in front of my face... It was intense...
