Hi folks I am coming out to Sydney in July and would like to spot some cool cars while I am living in NSW. I may have been spoiled by the things I have seen in London - Enzos, F40, SLR etc etc but was hoping to spot some Ferraris/Lambos etc etc in Sydney. Can anyone suggest any dealers / popular areas for such cars to be driving? Thanks BH
For the best bet would be outside Star City casino on any given weekend night.. I saw a Morgan Aero 8 there a while back, not to mention Russel Crowes Vanquish....
I will definitely try those places for a start off, are there any events planned from July onwards where I can see nice cars in the flesh??
The Ferrari concours show will be on the 28/8/05 at Hunters Hill. There is also a Fiat/Alfa/Lancia concours show on the 31/7/05 at Tempe
you should see quite a few ferraris in the rose bay area but theyr mostly 360s and 355s, nothing like an Enzo or F40! but theres a prestige dealership there: galleria veloce, and iv seen heaps of ferraris and other exotics being test driven from there, if your lucky there might be a lambo around, and if you like porsches then you will be happy cos theyr a dime a dozen in sydney but there are a few 911 turbos an gt3s around, and theres an awesome turbo that i think has been done by gemballa. i once saw a koenigsegg (CCR or CC8, too fast to tell!) being floored right passed me in rose bay(helloo! fastest production car in the world!) an thats one heluva noise, so you should see some nice cars, my recomendation would be all along new south head road, as theres usually some nice exotics along there.
The dealership has better cars that reside in the Garage in the side street... Scuderia Veloce have some in their showroom, not to mention that place with CCR....and a H2 Hummer last time i drove past...
Agree - I used to go to the Cosmopolitan in Double Bay, order a Crown Lager and eggs Benedict and watch the tossers drive by. Used to be an idiot in a 308 with effing driving gloves that looked ridiculous, but get a spot out on the footpath and there should be some good toys rolling through on a warm day. Usually the real players will park in the restricted zone and just pay the parking ticket.... Cheers Kevin
