Last friday spotted a 430 with a strange frontbumper with F131 EVO on it. We saw it during our visit at Maranello at the backsite of the factory. When they saw us making pictures it drove quickly away. Read all about it in this tread: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=57058&page=1&pp=20
I think that this is a customer car that just happens to have that protective injection molded plastic piece on for the test drive. I'm not sure why they've given in it the above name.
I didn't know that. But why is Ferrari telling the 430 is a brand new car while it just is a upgradet 360?
its the part number for the protection of the front bumper whilst road testing i think, i saw loads like this when i was there in november
yep me too, but only one with F131 Evo on it. And the driver turned quickly away when he saw me taken pics. Some other drivers waved even at us and the one in the MC12 drove slowly so we could make some nice pics.
It is not a part number, but the F430's internal project name. It ID's the moulded protection piece which only fits the F430's bumper.
This is the pic of the F131 evo. You can't see it but it is embossed in bumper. Rest of our Maranello/San Marino/Imola GP1 trip you find here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=57058 Image Unavailable, Please Login
I wish I had one of those molded front fender covers for mt 360 during track/long drive events...maybe someone can get their hands on some?? I would pay good money for one.
The F430s I saw in Maranello last year all had the F131 EVO protective front bumper. Nothing special here, I'm afraid... Ciao, Lars
It's too bad that someone hasn't come up with this idea for every day nose protection. Something you could easily pop on and off. Well thought out, this could be the only way to truly protect from rock chips. Any adventurous types out there?
same here mate, a lot of them had no rear splitter on too, when i asked i was told they leave them off until the final few test drives around maranello
