It's the Conciso by Michalak. http://images.google.com/images?q=Michalak%20Conciso&num=50&hl=en&lr=&safe=off&client=safari&rls=en&sa=N&tab=wi
The link here: http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.mcarsweb.com/michalak/s_concisod.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.mcarsweb.com/michalak/conciso.htm&h=130&w=173&sz=6&tbnid=d4qVeoBkniIJ:&tbnh=70&tbnw=94&hl=en&start=9&prev=/images%3Fq%3DMichalak%2BConciso%26svnum%3D50%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26safe%3Doff%26client%3Dsafari%26rls%3Den%26sa%3DN indicates that it is based on a 328 drivetrain and platform, and that it was produced in 1989. I never thought I would say this, because every Ferrari I have ever seen I like...it may have taken time to grow on my (308GT4..I now want one, 360...I now want one)...but this is not just the ugliest Ferrari I have ever seen, it's the ugliest car I have ever seen. It's repulsive. Please tell me Ferrari did not authorize this. Yikes!
If you're interested in more info, here are some previous discussions on the Conciso: http://70.85.40.84/~ferrari/discus/messages/251280/287976.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10409 http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22378 http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23495 http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25950
I guess I dont know every Ferrari. So gow many were produced. Is this a real Ferrari, or just used Ferrari parts like the La Forza car?
I had read that this was built specially for Lee Iacocca when it was thought he would work for Ferrari designing a Mustang Ferrari for them. You should see the Ferrari mini van concept vehicle!
??? I'm very confused by this statement. After all: 1. The Conciso was built by a German design firm, Michalak-Design GmbH, not Ferrari. 2. It was built in 1989 at a time when Lee Iacocca was Chairman of Chrysler Corporation and would have had nothing to do with designing cars, much less anything to do with the Mustang. Can you show it to us, please?
I could only find one shot of it. It was not painted red to prevent spying eyes from recognizing it! M-B styled it as at the time M-B was about to take over Chrysler and Iaccoca thought he would slide right into the new project for Ferrari! Also, not a lot of detail and does not have the ridiculous fenders as the other model! Quite unusual for Ferrari! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think you're confused: 1. The vehicle in the drawing has a Mercedes 3-pointed star on the steering wheel. 2. Lee Iacocca left Chrysler Corp in 1992. 3. Daimler Benz and Chrysler Corp didn't announce a merger until 1998. 4. Why on earth would MBenz be designing a car for Ferrari? Have you ever heard of the design firm Pininfarina SpA? Are you aware of the relationship between this company and Ferrari SpA?
The information that was conveyed to me was through an interpreter, and I am not sure that person was sufficiently fluent in Italian to fully translate or that everything is fully accurate. Apparently Lee Iacocca is distantly related to the family of Pininfarina fame. Rumor has it that they had always wanted to bring him into the fold but could not do so due to his then contractural commitments. So, Ferrari went to M-B to have the styling done to keep the development under wraps knowing that M-B was considering the purchase of Chrysler. I guess they figured that Iacocca would then move to M-B and then they could get him to Italy. There was some talk of co-development with Zonda so the vehicles could possibly have shared the 12 cylinder AMG engine. Thus the M-B emblem in the first post.
Really? Then how do we account for the seam in the "rocks" that appears under the rear of the minivan in the rear shot "photograph"? Okay, so even if it's supposed to be a photograph and they simply cut it out and pasted it on a fake background (the reflections and lighting is NOT from the outdoors, it's studio lighting!) how do you explain those taillights? Those have been photochopped in. I'm also suspect about the front headlights...they look 'chopped as well. Call it an artist's rendition and I'll believe it but an actual photograph? I don't believe it.
Well well well, lookie what I stumbled across? http://www.autocar.co.uk/news_article.asp?na_id=214573 My those headlights look very familiar! Came from this thread in the Northwest forum: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=62919
Okay, now I know you're only joking. Thought you were serious for a minute there. By the way: http://forums.autoweek.com/thread.jspa?forumID=31&threadID=12384 http://spbcar.ru/news/archive/2005/2/05/159
Those first few photos of the original car look like the horrid lovechild of Enzo and Colin Chapman - it's like an elan tail glued to a fibreglass super-seven rebody, given exactly 13 minutes of wind tunnel time, smoothed out, and then badged as a Ferrari. Zoinks.
Wayne, I thought for sure your name was first on the list for that new SUV Mini Van! BTW, the slight hump showing in the photo in the rear of the vehicle was to allow a large pot for cooking the pasta sauce!
