A recent episode of Top Gear had a test of the SLR and the drivers/writers loved it. They hated the new Maserati Grand Sport coupe tested in the same episode though.

It's taken on a street off the Champs Elysee. I know because I ate at the restaurant called Pizza Pino, which it is parked in front of if you look at the second picture!

    Nice car!

I think this is the first ever SLR I see that's not black or grey (not counting the Gumball black one with orange thingies, or the pictures of the CMC scale model in red or blue)

Looks super in white. There's some dirt on the rocker panels and bugs on the front, but otherwise, it looks great.

Good grief, that's gorgeous! The Brilliant Silver color on Mercedes gets real old, real quick. And black...well.....there's only so much you can do with that. The white looks amazing.

I like it, but it's no Mclaren F1. Than again it's 1/2 as expensive, so you get what you pay for.

It does look good in white BUT I am just not feeling it for this car. The design just does not work as a whole and the basic body is too plain for all the front end flash. Almost kit car like, although admittedly a very nice kit. I would take a cgt with no hesitation, in fact there is no other car in that price range that I would not take before one of those. Just my two centavos.

She would probably hate it. It is VERY noisy, and very rough riding. Very un-Mercedes.

It looks like a Mercedes, but it feels and sounds like an old Trans-Am race car with an automatic tranny and a leather interior.

I just noticed this car is listed at $515 grand at some dealers
that's stupidly expensive for a car which looks like a mass produced MB

I mean you could get 3 Lamborghini (Murci,Diablo& Gallardo) for that amount = 34 cylinders instead of a mere V8

But seriously: was Gordon Murray involved in the development and design of this car?
If so what other cars has he been involved ever since the F1?
