Yep. The Mondial is the cheapest f car you can buy, but the costs for service and parts are right up there with the best of them.
At least CT isn't known for toxic waste and garbage like New Jersey ! Lamadipsh!t - I had my Testarossa out all day on the Merritt parkway, and roaming around Darien. So, you should have seen at least 1 F-car today. yesterday I saw a red 456 on the Merritt, while driving my TR. Where are my other CT drivers at??? LROB, Monk, Ashman etc...
LOL Hutch I live way up north for the summer so im not even near Greenwich area THIS PART OF CT IS WEAK I TELL YOU LAMAROSSA
I see a few Ferrari's literally every day i come home from the city on the Merrit in Ct. Anywho im getting in my Mondial to grab a bite to eat
I take my 348 out of its garage in New Canaan for a good ride at least once a week and sometimes drive it to work in Cos Cob. I have often remarked to Werner at Miller's (Greenwich) and Jean Louis at Le Mans 24 that given that a sizable percentage of the US F-car base must reside in Fairfield County, why do I hardly ever see one of them on the road. Back in the 80s on any given day one could see about 5 red 3x8's parked in front of Le Man (US 1 Cos Cob) waiting for service, because they were driven. Not any more, now we must have the highest percentage of garage queens. True, on Greenwich Avenue, one is likely to see the latest model of any exotic soon after the first one has been shipped over, but it is seen JUST once! Too bad.
New Jersey was the 13th cleanest state last year. I think it's the girls that give it the "Dirty" title.
Really? I'll have to check it out. I last drove up there in the winter, and didn't see anything of interest. Where were they hiding? Sam, you drive the Mondial in snow, right?
Quite an image.....the nuts to drive it in the snow, and that nice contrast of red on white. Do you change your tires for the winter?
I must admit, I just pulled it out of the garage for those pics. Snow tires? Don't need no stinkin' snow tires! Ever see the TRX's?? They ARE snow tires. 3.2, someday, baby. Image Unavailable, Please Login
NO NO NO. You get the Mondial. There is no 5 seater Ferrari. You go out in it with your 3 kids while she watches the Lifetime channel. Don't make me renew your subscripion to "Whipped."
Every state has an armpit, it's just that in NJ they force you to drive right through the middle of it.
I am always in Stamford driving at least one of my cars--decisions, decisions, whichever has gas. A nice choice from a 355, testarossa, 308, NSX, esprit. Dwight this is billy how are you I haven't been on the site for a while
Yo Billy!!! What's happening?? Haven't seen you around Stamford at the diner? We should grab lunch sometime next week, I'll call ya!!! Good to see you posting on F-Chat !
Since I picked up my 328 in Oct. '04 I put on over 1,500 miles; mostly the side and back roads north of the Merritt especially around the reservoirs. It's out every dry weekend. The Merritt or I-95 are getting like the LIE, a parking lot or worse and don't make for fun driving IMO. When I am on the Merritt I see a fair amount of F-cars, mostly on weekends. Looking forward to the fall; you cannot beat rural CT in October/November.
