Hi all. Not sure what area i should have put this, so i thought showroom would be the best. I have been taking photos of Ferrari's, Maseratis, and more or less just about every sports car i could for about 25 years now. I'm certainly no pro when it comes to a camera, but i just thought it would be nice to share my last 25 years of Italian car love with you guys/gals. I plan on showing 10 different pics every week, as long as you guys dont mind. Please feel free to comment or even add info as i go, as i must admit, my naming of individual cars leaves a lot to be desired. Anyway, on with the first 10 pics. I hope you all like. ALL these photos are mine, taken by me only, so if anybody takes a real liking to a photo, then i'm sure i can be persuaded to help out. Aren't Italian sportscars the best?! Do you have more pictures of the Mangusta? And maybe some of a real Stratos? Ciao, Peter
Really appreciate your sharing the photos. Your photos are really nice, but some of the cars are a bit, well, unattractive. Keep posting more photos!
Well time for another 20. Hope you enjoy! Thanks for sharing! Great photos. Some of the cars are a little awkward looking but keep them coming. How many pictures do you have total? Over 25 yrs I bet you have quite the collection.
About 500 packs i think. Dont worry, i wont be posting them all, just some of my favourites, and some that i think people would like to see. BTW, what do you mean by awkward?
The blue Stratos is beautiful - I would love to have one of those cars. The lavender Countach 25th is interesting - I know that's the first time I have seen it. My mother would love that car - that's her favorite color. Thanks for sharing those and the rest. >8^) ER
Interesting pic of the "green GTO", because it is the LMB bodied 250 GT Lusso #5521GT. Please continue posting these pics because they are wonderful.
I dont mean your pictures are awkward (there great), its the cars I am talking about. Like this: Image Unavailable, Please Login
I see what you mean Daniel, but these cars are all beautiful in their own right, and they were then what the Enzo is to us now. I think in the world of the likes of Zagato, Drogo, vignale etc .. a little ugliness goes a long way Boudewijn, thankyou for the info. I had no idea about the 250 GT Lusso. Gladly welcome any info on the cars i post, and besides, coming from you, i'm honoured at the compliment.
I love those pics. Thanks a lot! To me, Italian cars are the most beautiful in the world, without question. Some of the more interesting designs don't look awkward, just exotic.
As far as i know, it was just standard with a bodykit. Interestingly, the guy that owned it got chatting to me, and ended up inviting me and my mate to a private Ferrari function.
Daniel, cars in question, 350gt(silver) and 400gt(blue) are actually pretty weird in pieces and from some perspectives but in person and taken as a whole, are very cool. Great open feeling with lots of interesting ques like curved side windows, very nice proportions and sweeping stance. Double overhead cam per bank and six webers. The 350 is an all aluminum body and weighs2700 lbs. Very collectible and quite striking in person. Heres a shot of Lambo Jacks car which is a driver with over 200k on it from what I understand. great pics Paul, please keep them coming. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I've never seen one in person. I didnt even know the name of it. I just dont like the headlights. I'm sure it looks better in person than it does in the pictures. Thanks for the information though. Whats the difference between the 350 and the 400? Just power outputs? I think it looks much better in that color BTW.
yep, 3.5L and 4.0L respectively. The latter was revamped on the same chassis as the Islero 400GT with a much improved drivetrain.
Great pictures Paul, some intereting cars. I should dig out all of my pictures from the 80's when I used to be at Oulton park a lot for the Ferrari and Aston Club Races. Cheers Simon
