I've just noticed what sounds like a cheap 04 Gallardo, LHD 5500 miles E-Gear on pistonheads. Here's the link, and if anyone buys it as a result of this thread......I want a drive! http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/51848.htm
From what I've just heard, wouldn't touch one unless: 1. My next door neighbour is the Lamborghini agent for the UK - with the workshops in his garden 2. Fuel prices drop to 50p per litre (that'll never happen) Great price, great car - just too many recalls/upgrades
drove one round oulton park it was horrid but the manual was ok but i dont like F1[auto] gearboxes they are for old people
Drove one on track at Bruntingthorpe, awesome drivers car. At 60K there must be something wrong with it?
The ad says personal import from Germany, and it implies he's desperate to sell! Might be more fun than Herbie, and LHD would make it easier for you to overtake on the Autobahn and out-run the German coppers!
I got done in Germany with seven other cars including a 360Cs and Gallardo. I of course was in number one spot. Out ran the copper no probs but could not out run the chopper....
Althought that sounds very cheap and very wrong, Did you notice the ad in the Sunday Times today Murcielage 05/05 Orange 800 miles 175,000 list offered at 145,000 - almost makes a 612 look cheap to own Also is it just me or is there suddenly a massive oversupply of 430's on offer in the papers at next to no premium I'm really starting to wonder about oversupply in this market. Last week I finally canceled my 430 order (in favour of the Lambo Spider) and one of the sales guy spent ages trying to talk me out of it. Now if the 430 really has got a 3 year waiting list then why would he bother?
That's a nice car, owner also has a Phantom - he has broke his leg badly so can't drive the M anymore Not sure about future values of Murcie's at the moment, bit uncertain with 06 new model possibilites. All will come clear at the Zurich motorshow
So how much DID you pay for the Rover PS If I were to buy any Lambo at the minute, it'd be a Diablo GT. Now I used to hate the Diablo - looked all wrong. But the GT....hmmmm. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not a bean mate, although the tax man (God bless him) takes about £200 a month from me for it! The GT's nice, but I like the last of the Diablos, without the rear spoiler.
I suspect the prices will remain quite firm on these. Only 80 made, they look brilliant (not just the outside, but the inside seems much better too, and the engine detailing is also a notch above) and I suspect they may go better (isn't it a road going version of the racing GT-R?). Bit like a Challenge Stradale of the Diablo world, only much, much more exclusive. Good job they're not cheaper in many ways (from a personal perspective)! Incidentally, there are two on mobile.de - this one and a gun metal grey one for 230k Euros.
Bloody good point. I think the majority of the orders were by speculators. If you combine this with the whole top end car market slowing down it would make over supply more apparent. Unfortunately all it takes is a deposit on a car and an ad in the paper to be come a speculator. It's going to hit residuals hard in the first 2 years but I'm all for that as thats when I'm going to be in the market for one
