Josh, Well thank you! I really like it, my kids dig it, and my wife even enjoys it. I tell you what though, there are quite a few very fine Mondials in the Chicago area. I have been impressed by the sight of them at several events.
http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=72356 Vince is a smart man. More "exotics," in every way: location, picture angles, and most importantly, accessories/drivers. I would like to see a pic of Andreas and Rick's regardless of the make. I really think the FOC and Fchat has gone way to the side of Ferrari owners finding a place to vent their issues to find solutions and know about Ferrari only events. Even if its not in the calendar, perhaps a showroom page on Fchat for our cars, events, people? The more one digs into this crew, the more so the people and events outshine the cars. Seriously, how often can you look at a 308? I think seeing Chuck's wife behind the wheel of an Enzo would be much more entertaining. Or Frank in the drivethrough at McyD's in the 308. Franky Jr passing a Maranello in his gokart. Im going to create a Ferrari theme office and would love to post pics if anyone else wants some fun ideas to Ferraritise their abode. RocketBoy
I hear you and I'll answer, although this thread is the wrong place for this discussion: - FOC always welcomes drivers and cars that are not Ferraris. We had Masers, Porsche, Lambos, Vettes, Trans Am, VW in addition on our drives. - FChat in general has an "Other" section where all non Ferraris can be discussed. - The Chicago section of FChat is tolerant of non Ferrari topics and events. - If you like to have a showroom for the Chicagoland folks (not a bad idea I agree), just start a thread. No biggie.
You mean that my Bastard car and I might finally have found a home? YEA!! I feel so wanted (I think), just don't cross the northern state line, right?
Put me down for two calendars, please, Andreas. Can't help with the Enzo, but how about a Maranello? Image Unavailable, Please Login
The Garage-Mahal is finally done... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Love the garage so when do we have a party in it? One pic looks like a single then another with the Benz looks like a double, are my eyes playing tricks?
Oh yeah, well my three car garage has an awesome collection of Craftsman products, a kick ass lawn mower complete with Replicar badges, and a push broom from Sams Club... Regardless, that looks awesome Carla. Is doggy allowed to snoop around in the showroom type garage anymore? I agree with Rick, when is the party? I will pick him up in a car I no longer own and the two poseurs can make an appearance together... I want to compliment Rick on his efforts to help his girl through school. My parents helped me which allowed me to buy all the toys I wanted while I was single. Rick, that is big deal and I say acted out only by a good guy. Im sure even my Cheesehead commrade Bill would agree. But forgive my curiousity, what does your little girl drive? A bit of advice as the most recent college grad in our section of Fchat, don't let her have wheels her first year in college. RocketBoy
Garage Mahal is actually Ms. September. Carla's digs follow the tradition established by Sean and his garage last year. Who's gonna be next? Mike Z.? Chuck? BTW: I'm finalizing the pictures. As soon as I'm done I'll give you guys a preview here.
Hi All (from the worst Ferrari owner yet) Fantastic pictures Carla.... Do you do interiors or only Ferrari garages? Anyway with folks posting pictures and my once in a while visit to the site thought I'd post a picture of my 75 308GT4. Unfortunately the car is in storage and my left knee is a wreck. So no clutch work this year;-( Karl Image Unavailable, Please Login
I just got carried away with my garage. I am not an interior designer by no means. I just love to shop!
Awesome garage and 355 Carla! You'll have to come to my show next year in Muskegon....it's just a short ferry ride. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=41947&highlight=muskegon
Nice job Carla! Long time no talk. We passed on that building because some other things have come up, such as our company and another have been discussing a partnership/merger, so once that is settled, we will be looking for another building around 15,000 Sq. Ft., but until the partnership is done, it is not worth looking around. Anyway, PM me with your # (misplaced) and we'll talk.
Andreas, please put me down for 2 calendars. BTW, thank you for taking my flag on vacation with you, it had a great time! Thanks, Jerry.
Will do. Just for the record: Your flag has now been to three events: - Ferry ride across Lake Michigan - Goodwood Revival of Speed - Our Route 66 commemorative drive The next issue of Pilota (#11) will have "proof" of the last two events. Stay tuned.
Time to post an update on the car's shown in the calendar: Here is a list of the cars shown in next year's edition. 246 Jenny 308 Frank 308 Dave Bendl 308 Mike Z. 308 Andreas 308 Skip 328 Tod 328 Gisela and Helmut Mondial Fred Mondial Michael 348C Richard 355 Carla 355 Daniel 355 Vince 360 CS Mike E. 365 Billiam BBi Dave Bendl BBi Peterson BBi Riff TR Sean 575 Rocketboy F1 Rubens F1 Jacques Biturbo Chuck
I can one up you... (or two...) Pink Barbie Jeep and a new 2 speed plus reverse John Deere front loader for the boy (just turned 3) also inhabit the garage. Have not yet "mahal'd" the new garage. Its big (880 sq ft). Still deciding on what to do with the walls (dry wall, FRP, etc). Carla... very nice! anyways, back to the action....
