Agreed. There are a whole lot of ways to die before your time and they are all sad and cause grief to someone.

If there is anything positive to be done about an untimely death, after the fact, it is to understand the causes and see if future deaths can be prevented.

So how many Enzos are actually left now?

    They built 399, yes?

One was burnt to destruction in Houston, Texas earlier this year (or was it last year?), and now this one, obviously unrepairable.

So 397 left... unless any others I don't know about have been written off?

Ferrari built a 400th Enzo which was auctioned off to raise funds for the tsunami victims.

So take away the two you mentioned and we have 398 left.... ;)

If anyone still wants to see the Ferrari Crash pics of the Brazilian 355.
I could send him a Power Point File I have. The only thing it is in spanish, but you can see the pics perfectly.
And as said before, if you don't like blood, dead persons etc, better don't ask.

they made him a new one because it was an engine problem and Ferrari took the blame. so the burned ona and the new one can cancel eachother out. so as far as i know, theres 399 now

Are you talking about Christopher Dawes? He killed himself and 2 friends going about 150-180 in somone elses mac (he did have his own though) and was being investigated for drug trafficing etc. If caught, he would have been in jail for a long time. I'm not saying his death was good, but going 180 on a public road with 2 friends is not good. And it does look kinda suspicious when you're under investigation by many authorities. I have a lot of news articles to back up these facts.

If you look at the tyre in the foreground of one of the pictures then you will see that it is off the rim and has been torn. COuld this be a possible tyre faliure???? At the speeds we assume he was travelling at this would cause the type of accident we are seeing the aftermath of. Seems to make sense.

Shouldn't there be 397 left?? 400 in total were built

1 crashed in Houston, Texas and burned
1 crashed in Tampa, FL (Was this one rebuilt???)
    1 In Italy (This one)

    Can anyone verify this??

"The person lost their life", so ****ing what? he did it at 256km/h driving the car on public roads, you know, the same road network that I/you/our mothers/our sisters/etc use, how would you feel if he hit your car and killed half your family?. That's what I thought; I'm not the moron, the moron is the one that killed himself and a passenger doing 4 times the speed limit, a perfect candidate for the Darwin awards.

totalled, but replaced with a new one, 399-1+1=399
yes it was rebuilt. 399 still
yes this one. so the original 399-1 would make 398, but the 400th one was built, bringing the number back to 399 as far as im aware. hope this clears some stuff up

I agree 100%. I also think Ferrari should take a look at that wreckage to determine if there is any inherent weakness/flaw in the Enzo. Then again, when you're talking about accidents at those speeds, it becomes more like a plane crash rather than a car crash...
