Considering Willi has been able to get Ralf double the money of his racing partner Jarno, who out drove him this year, I'd think he'd be someone to hold on to. But, if your not getting along, your not getting along. I guess for some there's more things than money. Or at least there is when you already have mountains of it.
I'm sure part of it may have to do with the reality of the situation where Willi basically told Ralf that he is only worth half or less than what he was paid in 2005. Perhaps Ralf's ego couldn't accept that and maybe he felt that Willi wasn't doing his job well enough if he could not get him the same compensation pacakge.
I read an article where Willi said he would not necessarily replace Ralf with another client, but rather have some extra free time--well deserved free time!
