1998 ?? Power mirrors ? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/98-Ferrari-F50-red-black-VERY-RARE-LOW-MILES_W0QQitemZ4600349981QQcategoryZ6212QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Smells like BS. Plus, I learned a little fact about the f50 this week from Ferrari Service. The F50 needs to have it's fuel bladder replaced every 10 years for a cost of $18,000. I guess if you can afford $700,000, 18k is chump change.
F50's were 95's, maybe 96's. Look at some of the features, they look like they were cut and pasted from some generic car ad. Leather Steering Wheel Leather Upholstery Power Mirrors´ Power Steering Pushrod Sport Steering Wheel Tachometer Tinted Glass Trip Odometer Ground Effects Rear Spoiler Removable Hard and Soft Top 4 Wheel Disc Brakes Break Resistant Glass Halogen Headlamps Power Brakes Roll Bar Side Impact Protection Third Brake Light 6 gears Manual I don't think there was a soft top. I also need to find one of those pushrod steering wheels!!!
It also says Power Windows. I clearly remember on Top Gear where he says they have manual roll-down windows to save weight. And VIN 11111111111111111?? I think it's BS also.
Fake. I can see pics from numerous ads. The 2nd is from a car for sale in France and the rest are from auto salon singen.
"The F50 includes many euipment features originally included in the Formula 1 Ferrari of the year 1993. The car has been released at the 50th anniversary of Ferrari. It has been built only 349 times and only offered to chosen customers. Its a very rare, unique car to drive. Insiders already call the F50 the crown jewel of Ferrari." Wrong. 1990 Ferrari 641 F1 engine (modified for a road use) is on the F50, not from a 1993 F1 car!
I also thought it had carbon fibre wheel wells in the back. Those look like they are just metallic painted aluminum...
The pictures are of a real F50, you just can't see the carbon fiber pattern because it's not close enough to the wheel well. Anyways, looks like BS to me as well.
There was a soft top included with the F50 for emergency use. It may have had a max-speed limit when fitted similar to the soft top on the original Vipers, but I am not positive on that. >8^) ER Image Unavailable, Please Login
just got this email from them: Hello, Excuse me, but I wont tell the VIN Number, unless you are the winning bidder at the end of the auction. Good Luck! Best regards, GoldRidgeCars
HA! Thats a good one. Tell them you're interested but you won't bid unless you know the vin, so you can check the history of the car. Also ask them why they used pics from these 2 places: http://www.fa-automobile.com/detail_vente.php?id=6&v=141 http://www.autosalon-singen.de/Katalogfahrzeug_RecordView_DetailAll.cfm?fahrzeugID=01182_0056_01_02&languageID=GB This'll be fun...
I told him I knew of someone who was interested in the car and wanted to know the VIN. That's the reply I got. Just sent him this: In regards to the VIN... My friend just wants to make sure that this isn't the F50 that was stolen from Alger Ferrari. He doesn't want any heat coming down on him. Also. You advertise the car as having tinted glass but your pictures don't show it. Another point. Your ad is using pics from the following: http://www.fa-automobile.com/detail_vente.php?id=6&v=141# http://www.autosalon-singen.de/Katalogfahrzeug_RecordView_DetailAll.cfm?fahrzeugID=01182_0056_01_02&languageID=GB If you could please clarify these issues for me I would appreciate it very much.
Response from goldridgecars Item: Ferrari : F50 (4600349981) This message was sent while the listing was active. goldridgecars is the seller. Hello, Well first off thanks for the information with the tinted glass. I didnt see it, and have to revise this point. I have a great picture archive of cars, I have collected in the past on my computer. In terms of simpleness I am using pictures from absolutely equivalent cars, to provide a good impression of what the car described in the text looks like. Well for a rule I wont tell the VIN Number unless the auction closed successfully. But I like to guarantee you that this is not the stolen F50 of your friend. What happened to him is very unfortunate, but this car has EU Specs and is located in central Europe. I guess Alger Ferrari seats in America. I cant imagine somebody to be able to ship such an expensive car undercover out of a country. Im just standing at the beginning of my business, so there might be some obscurities. I appreciate you to have insight. Best regards and Good Luck! GoldRidgeCars
Perhaps you are getting mixed up with US model F50's? They were all 1995 models. The Euro cars were built right up until mid- 1998. Mine was one of the last (341/349) and it was delivered in April 98.
The ebay ad says cd player too...*think* these cars didn't come with stereos did they? when I have seen them they have a beautifully clean dash with only the most basic of knobs a buttons. Who wants a stereo when you can hear that great Italian music behind you?
No Stereo correct. In any case, the F50 is the loudest road car that I have ever owned by a considerable margin. What would be the point of fitting a sound system in one?
